On this blessed feast of Pentecost, we celebrated our Sunday School graduates, bid farewell to our beloved Fr. Niko and family, feasted together in celebration, got clean with the GOYA car wash, and played hard with HOPE & JOY!

To say we are grateful for the last four years with Father, Presvytera, and the little ones is an understatement. We will miss you all, but are grateful that God brought you to us even for a short time. We wish you all the best as you continue your ministry in Syracuse, your home church. What a blessing! We love you Fr. Niko, Presvytera Ivey, Tommy and Elpida! We’ll enjoy these last two months together!

Congratulations to the Greek School on another year of language, faith, culture, and connections! Every student knows the dedication and sacrifice involved in fighting traffic after American school just to learn for two more hours—but as we can see, our kids’ confidence, joy, and camaraderie is shining out of their faces! Congratulations to the graduates and to all the students!

This last Sunday, we honored our Greek school graduates and oratorical speakers. Bravo παιδιά!!

Last Saturday, our ladies Philoptochos hosted a Pilates with a Purpose. The ladies enjoyed a morning of physical and emotional wellness. The committee paid every attention to detail from the Pilates socks with a Scripture verse to a beautiful brunch. This was a first of its kind event here at St. John and a great success. We are grateful for all those who worked hard on this event that connected ladies of all ages. Thankful also for our compassionate GOYAns who took the leftover berries, made smoothies, and along with their bake sale funds donated to the cause. The women and children at MCREST will be blessed with $2300 from this event.
