Dear family and friends of Ariel Ministries,

On this day, October 12, 2022, the Lord has promoted Mary Ann Fruchtenbaum into His presence in heaven. Mary Ann was ready to go home to the Father, and we will miss her until we see her again.

Please continue to pray for Arnold and Mary Ann’s family and friends, as they grieve the loss of a beloved spouse, sister, and friend.

Memorial services will be held both in San Antonio, TX, and Keeseville, NY, on the Shoshanah Campus grounds, details forthcoming.

In lieu of flowers, Mary Ann requests that donations be made to the Ariel School of Messianic Studies Shoshanah Campus where the romance between Arnold and Mary Ann began and continued to the present day.

We need not wish Yehi Zichra Baruch (“may her memory be a blessing”) because Mary Ann's memory is already a blessing for her husband of 54 years as well as everyone else who knew and loved her.

Enjoy the lyrics of MA’s favorite song:
Oh, the Deep Deep Love of Yeshua
(Author: S. Trevor Francis)

O the deep, deep love of Yeshua!
Vast unmeasured, boundless, free
rolling as a mighty ocean in its fullness over me.
Underneath me, all around me, is the current of Thy love;
leading onward, leading homeward, to Thy glorious rest above.

O the deep, deep love of Yeshua!
Spread His praise from shore to shore;
how He loveth, ever loveth,
Changeth never, nevermore;
how He watches o’ver His loved ones,
died to call them all His own;
how for them He intercedeth,
watcheth o’ver them from the throne.

O the deep, deep love of Yeshua!
Love of ev’ry love the best:
‘tis an ocean vast of blessing,
‘tis a haven sweet of rest.

O the deep, deep love of Yeshua!
‘Tis a heav’n of heav’ns to me;
and it lifts me up to glory,
for it lifts me up to Thee.

Jeremiah 31:10 - A Problem for Replacement Theologians

Verse 10 presents God’s declaration: "Hear the word of the LORD, O ye nations, and declare it in the isles afar off; and say, He that scattered Israel will gather him, and keep him, as a shepherd does his flock."

The nations (goyim) are summoned to make a clear declaration in the farthest reaches of the earth: The God who scattered Israel will gather His people and keep them as a shepherd keeps his flock. Any form of replacement theology crumbles in light of this declaration. In one and the same verse, YHWH stated that just as He was responsible for the scattering of His people, He would be responsible for regathering them. Replacement theologians would agree that God literally scattered Israel. However, when YHWH promised to regather the Jewish people to their homeland, He meant that spiritually. One example of this wrong position is seen in amillennialism. Those who follow this doctrine see no future for Israel and claim that the church has taken over the promises God once made to Israel in some spiritual fashion. To support their position, they must allegorize verses like the one above, which clearly states that He that scattered Israel, i.e., God, will gather him, and keep him, as a shepherd does his flock.

Shavuot/Pentecost: The Coming of the Holy Spirit

As Dr. Fruchtenbaum writes in his commentary on Acts, "the significance of Shavuot, or the Feast of Weeks (Pentecost), can be summarized in nine points. First, it marked the coming of the Holy Spirit for a new type of ministry, His New Testament ministry, in keeping with John 16:7-15.

Second, the coming of the Holy Spirit was marked by the three signs of Acts 2:1-4: the sound of a wind, the appearance of fire, and the gift of tongues.

Third, this Pentecost is when the gift of the Holy Spirit was giv-en, for He is the gift (Jn. 14:16; Acts 2:38; 10:45). Before this time, the Holy Spirit did indwell some believers, but He did not indwell all believers. Even for the few who experienced the indwelling, it was not necessarily permanent. Now, the Holy Spirit indwells all believers, and this indwelling is permanent.

Fourth, it means that the power of the Holy Spirit is now provided so that each believer can complete the commission God has given to him (Acts 1:8).

Fifth, Pentecost marks the beginning—the birth—of the church...

Eighth, Pentecost is an illustration of the future outpouring of the Holy Spirit upon all of Israel predicted in Joel 2:28-32a and declared as such in Acts 2:16-21.

Ninth, Pentecost signifies that the worldwide preaching of the gospel now begins in earnest (Acts 2:9-11)."
