MEET BREAKOUT SPEAKER
Lori Hunter
TOPIC: The Cross
What does the cross mean to you?
The cross represents salvation, forgiveness, and the immeasurable love of the Lord. Why do we glory in the cross? Because the cross is the only way to salvation. Jesus calls us to surrender ourselves, take up our cross, and follow Him. In this session, Lori will share what it truly means to embrace the cross and live as a faithful follower of Christ.
About Lori Hunter
Lori Hunter has lived in Stephenville, Texas, throughout her adult life. She and her husband, Blake, have been married for 25 years. They have two children, Kaleb and Ashley, and two wonderful grandchildren, Addilina, age four, and Haydn, age two.
In 2021, the Lord led Lori to attend Kenneth Copeland Bible College for two years. This became one of her first experiences living in an RV. She believes the Lord provided just what she needed, giving her a place where she could live, learn, and spend precious time with Him.
Lori and Blake are currently pursuing a remarkable building plan that the Lord has placed on their hearts. One of Lori’s greatest desires is for her grandchildren to know the Lord, understand how deeply He loves them, and choose to love and serve Him with all their hearts.
This season has been one of the most challenging of Lori’s life. During the past two years, she and Blake sold their home and purchased a property that required extensive cleanup and restoration. Blake stepped away from a 25-year career in the electrical industry, while Lori returned to the food-service industry she loves—serving others in what she affectionately calls “contained chaos.” During this time, her daughter and grandchildren also moved two and a half hours away, which was heartbreaking for her.
Through every change and challenge, Lori believes the Lord is rebuilding what has been broken and making all things new. Her guiding Scripture is Philippians 4:13: “I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.”
The Apostle Paul wrote these words from a Roman prison after learning to be content in every circumstance—whether he had plenty or was in need. Lori believes the Lord is speaking this same truth over her family’s journey: have faith, believe what He has spoken, and learn to enjoy the journey with Him.
