Puedo hablar español, pero eso no me hace un mexicano. And in the same way that being able to speak Spanish doesn't make me a Mexican, being able to quote all the right scriptures doesn't make me a Christian. It's not enough to go through our walk as nothing more than overfed parrots repeating all the things we've heard while never really applying them to our own lives. Our Christian lives should be like a none stop action movie; frame after frame filled with amazing feats of God's love through us. We are called to be doers of the word. Don't be a parrot, be a star that shines for His kingdom!

You don't have to be perfect. The fact of it is that none of us "have it all together". We can compare ourselves to one another with devastating consequences, but in truth we are all failing in some way. Our salvation is not found in the image of perfection, but rather in The One that accepts us in spite of our brokenness.

“You do not want a sacrifice, or I would give it; You are not pleased with a burnt offering. The sacrifice pleasing to God is a broken spirit. God, You will not despise a broken and humbled heart.”
