2026 SONSHINERS GARDEN/BAKE SALE IS BACK!
To Be Held in Conjunction with the Stephentown Historical Society’s Annual Car Wash
Please join us on Sunday, August 16th for our annual SonShiners Garden/Bake Sale! This year we will once again join with the Stephentown Historical Society at their yearly Car Wash to be held at the Scrub Board Laundromat and Car Wash located on Route 22 just south of Route 43. This fund raiser for the SonShiners will run from 11:00 am to 3:00 pm.
We need your help! Please help us to make this event a big success by donating fresh veggies from your garden and/or by baking some goodies for sale. Veggies and baked goods can be brought to the Stephentown Federated Church at 1513 Garfield Road on the day of the event between 9:00 and 9:30 am, or you can bring them to the location (address above) by 11 am. If you have any questions, please see Kate or Barb at church.
Please note: In the event of inclement weather, the rain date will be Sunday, August 23rd.

So may we know
the hope
that is not just
for someday
but for this day—

that opens to us:

of wishes

and muscle
and bone,

hope that has breath
and a beating heart,

hope that will not
keep quiet
and be polite,

hope that knows
how to holler
when it is called for,

hope that knows
how to sing
when there seems
little cause,

hope that raises us
from the dead—

not someday
but this day,
every day,
again and
again and
again.

Please join us this Sunday, March 29th, at 9:30 am for a special Palm Sunday service. We'll experience Jesus' triumphal entry into Jerusalem as the choir processes in with palms and singing of "Hosanna in the Streets". Then we'll trace the events of Holy Week with readings and song.
