ted Evangelical Lutheran Church of Peace are together blessed by God through Jesus Christ with Word and Sacrament, united as a congregation in a common confession, defense and propagation of our faith in Jesus Christ our Savior. The purpose of Peace Lutheran Church is to Proclaim Jesus; to Learn about Jesus; to Care like Jesus cares. We currently work to serve this purpose through several ministries is Steeleville, IL and the surrounding area. Some of these include:
- Regular worship services
- Food Pantry distribution every Tuesday morning
- Sunday morning children's and Adult education hour
- Visitation of the sick, home-bound, and hospitalized
- Pastoral care and counseling
- Angel Tree, annual coat drive, community-based assistance for people in need
- Many other offerings and events within and outside our church facility

Grab your friends and mark your calendars for some fun! The Peace Lutheran Youth Group will be hosting a Painting Party with Small Town Sawdust on Sunday, September 13 in the fellowship hall from 12:00-2:00. Please see the attached flyer for project options and contact Kayla to reserve your craft. No worries if you can’t attend that day, you can also order a painting kit to go and paint at home at your convenience. All funds raised will be used to help send our youth to the National Youth Gathering in Minneapolis next summer!
