Youth Leadership and Development Academy - YLDA of Staunton, Inc. Equipping youth to empower the world. Vision statement: The Youth Leadership and Development Academy (YLDA) seeks to equip youth to empower the world.

It is the vision of the Youth Leadership and Development Academy to instill in each participant confidence, knowledge and inspiration to take on leadership roles their homes, schools and community. Students will build their leadership capacity through dialogue, experience and reflection with mentor leaders. Students will use their gifts and resources for the Kingdom of God and help others in their communities.

In this season of Thanksgiving, YLDA is grateful for our University of Phoenix intern, Mrs. Sonya Pulliam-Payne. She has been quietly working behind the scenes to support our mission and prepare us for our upcoming cohort of students. Our next YLDA Leadership Academy will take place June 22-26, 2026.
