Olivet Presbyterian Church Olivet Presbyterian Church is located in Staunton, Virginia. with Sunday school following at 11.

We are a country church in the city limits, where you’ll hear the simple tones of a piano accompaniment to the volunteer choir of 12 to 15 voices. You’ll be inspired by old standard hymns of Presbyterian background and experience a different member each Sunday giving the Children’s Sermon in front of the congregation, as the morning service is held at 10 a.m.

We are excited and grateful to be back in church tomorrow, February 8th! As you are painfully aware, it’s extremely cold outside. So tomorrow morning please use caution and your best judgement regarding whether or not it is safe for you to come to the worship service. Also, there will not be a men’s fellowship meeting today. We will meet again in March. God bless you all on this Saturday. For those who are able, we look forward to seeing you tomorrow. For those who decide to wait another week, we hope to see you soon!

Some people are referring to all of this ice we still have around as “icecrete”. It is indeed very hard like concrete and very slippery. Since we still have sizable piles of “icecrete” at nearly all the entrances to the church building with dangerously cold temperatures in the morning, we have decided it is best to cancel church and Sunday School tomorrow, February 1st. God bless you all and we look forward to gathering together next Sunday morning at 10:00.

As you might expect, church is cancelled tomorrow (January 25th) due to the weather. Also we will not have Bible study on Tuesday the 27th.

It’s cool, damp, and cloudy in the valley this morning. But it will be bright, cheerful, and full of the warmth of God’s love inside the sanctuary at Olivet when we gather for worship at 10:00. Hope to see you there on this first Sunday of September!

Good morning! At this time, we are planning to have an abbreviated worship service at 10:00 including the ordination & installation of elders followed by Communion. We will not have Sunday School, and the Session meeting is postponed. Please use your best judgement in light of your circumstances when deciding whether or not to attend. Be safe!

Baja 2022, another update- Hebrews 3:4 “For every house is built by someone, but God is the builder of all things.” The house we came to build has been completed and furnished. We were able to participate again in a local outreach distributing bags of rice, beans, and staple items. We worshipped with a local church on Wednesday evening. We’ve had an amazing week! Baja 2022, update 1: “Unless The Lord builds the house, those who build it labor in vain” -Psalm 127:1 We’ve had a great and productive first day at our build site in Vicente Guerrero. Here are some pics from the day showing the camp we are staying in, meeting the family we are serving, and some of the work we did today. All four outer walls are up. Good morning. We are sorry for the late notice, but worship is cancelled at Olivet this morning. The parking lot is too icy with large sections of black ice, and the side walks are covered with ice from snow drifts. Please enjoy your Sunday morning. Worship the Lord for He is good!
