A Memorial Plaque has been placed in the Parish House which commemorates all of the deceased communicants of the Church since our founding in 1923, who were active when they passed away.

"Rest eternal grant them, O Lord, and let Light perpetual shine upon them."
(Book of Common Prayer, pg 502).

Several church friends got together for a Thanksgiving meal today. The food and company were the best ingredients.

Happy 100th Anniversary to Our Church!

On Thanksgiving Eve, 1923 the Mission meeting at the Folly Mills Schoolhouse met with Bishop Robert Carter Jett and voted to become an Episcopal Church.
Tonight we celebrated Thanksgiving and our Centenary with a good crowd in attendance. The Revd. David Elphee of Good Shepherd Church and the Revd. Cara Modisett of Trinity Church celebrated the Holy Eucharist. The offering supported the Virginia Hunters for the Hungry.

Today our young people participated in the National Acolyte Festival at the Washington National Cathedral. They had a great day, and they look so determined to be at their best. We are all very proud of them! 🥰

HOLY WEEK is here and Good Shepherd is walking through the life of Jesus starting with the Palm Sunday Service on April 2 at 10:30 AM. The Good Friday Vigil will be held on Friday, April 7 at Noon. The Easter Day Service will be at 10:30 AM followed by an Egg Hunt and Fellowship.
