Merry Christmas from all of us at Zion Lutheran School! We are so grateful for each of you and for the ways God’s love shines through our Zion community.
As Christmas approaches, we joyfully pause to reflect on the blessings of the past year and the many ways God has been at work at Zion. His presence is often found not in grand gestures, but in quiet, meaningful moments that reveal the deep love and strong relationships within our community. From classrooms to hallways, we see His care through kindness, growth, and the shared commitment to nurturing both faith and learning.
Recently, Mrs. Best shared an experience that captures this truth, and I would like to share it with you.
God is so good! He gives us gifts that don’t have any monetary value but provide such wealth to all of us.
One of the greatest joys at Zion is welcoming former students back to visit teachers, staff, and friends. On the last day of school before Christmas break, my 7th- and 8th-grade classroom was blessed with visits from former students. They returned—not only to see their former teacher, but because they still feel connected to the Zion community. We shared food, laughter, and memories—a beautiful reminder of the lasting friendships formed here.
“Some may see this as a small moment—I see it as a blessing and a testimony to how much Zion means to our students and community.”
Though these students have gone on to other schools, they still find Zion a peaceful and happy place. My hope is that all students who attend Zion will one day return—whether in body or in heart—and find the same peace and comfort that only God provides through memories and faith nurtured here.
Mrs. Best shares just one special moment, but these unfold every day—from the office to hallways, lunchroom, and classrooms—showing how faith, care, and community guide our students and touch the hearts of everyone who comes through our doors.
At Zion Lutheran School, our mission is to guide students toward academic excellence and prepare them to be Christian leaders. But beyond academics, it is the love, care, and faith shared daily that leave a lasting impact. Friendships formed, support given, and joy experienced in learning and growing together stay with our students long after they leave Zion’s doors. This enduring sense of belonging and faith reminds us why our work here matters—and why Zion will always hold a special place in the hearts of those who pass through its halls.
May the joy of Christ’s birth fill your hearts this Christmas season, and may His blessings guide you and your family throughout the New Year.
With love from all the staff at Zion Lutheran School
