First Presbyterian Church of Statesville Preschool 704.873.9054 Our preschool currently offers classes for ages 1-4.

We understand that each child is a unique person created by God who will grow in his/her own special way. It is the goal of our preschool to create an environment that will foster an interest in learning and help each child grow socially, academically and spiritually - to ensure that each child has a feeling of self-worth and becomes aware of their uniqueness as God’s child.

Congratulations, graduates!!!

And like that, the FPC Preschool has sent new graduates into Statesville with our joy and hope for them. This was a phenomenal class of students, led by some of the kindest and most loving teachers in our midst. May God bless them all and their families, and may they always shine their light for all the world to see.

Our 3s and 4s made their way to Hungary 🇭🇺 today to visit our very own Mrs. Erika and Mrs. Lo. They saw some pictures from the last time Mrs. Erika visited and saw pictures of the beautiful buildings and bridges there. Mrs. Lo taught the children how to say “Szia”- “Hi” in Hungarian and happy birthday “boldog születésnapot”. They tried paprika and apricot jelly cookies. They learned a little bit about a Hungarian folktale, táltos paripa, a magical flying horse, which they got to make before they headed back to America!

Miss Stephanie visited each of our classrooms today! She brought song, dance, and some special stuffed friends to help show that families are all unique and different but that love connects each family in an extra special way. Miss Stephanie also brought pictures of her family, which was created through foster care and adoption.

The Happy Campers 2’s class traveled to South Africa today. Ms. Imke came and taught us about the FIVE big animals Lion, Leopard, Buffalo, Rhino and Elephant. The country animal is a springbok and the word Lacka means good. We also got to try a South African dessert called munchies 🇿🇦
