🇺🇸 A Day to Remember the Helpers 🇺🇸

We had a wonderful day at preschool today! We had a visit from Soccer Shots of Greater Charlotte and celebrated A Day to Remember the Helpers. Ms. Stephanie and Mrs. Lo talked with our children about community helpers such as firefighters, police officers, EMTs, nurses, and others who show courage and kindness by helping people in need. Our teachers also talked about how we can all be helpers—by being kind, caring for others, sharing, including our friends, and helping when someone needs us.

We invited everyone to wear RED, WHITE & BLUE to preschool today!

💙 Blue – Kindness & Helping Others

Our hope is that we showed our students that even the smallest acts of kindness can make a difference. We are grateful for the helpers in our community and for the opportunity to teach our children about love, compassion, courage, and caring for others. ✨ A Day of Learning at FPCP! ✨

Today, our FPCP staff had the wonderful opportunity to participate in a Conscious Discipline training led by the amazing Kim Hughes!

A very special thank you Lifespan Early Learning Center Statesville for including us in this incredible opportunity. We learned so much and are excited to bring new Conscious Discipline strategies and tools back to our preschool and into our classrooms!

Conscious Discipline provides practical strategies and resources that help educators and parents support children as they develop self-regulation, emotional skills, and positive relationships.

We are always grateful for opportunities to grow, learn, and become even better educators for the children we serve at FPCP!

Congratulations, graduates!!!

And like that, the FPC Preschool has sent new graduates into Statesville with our joy and hope for them. This was a phenomenal class of students, led by some of the kindest and most loving teachers in our midst. May God bless them all and their families, and may they always shine their light for all the world to see.

One of our sweet Wise Owls helped us continue our learning of different cultures today by sharing all about her family heritage. Her family is from Mexico, Honduras, and El Salvador!

Our 3s and 4s made their way to Hungary 🇭🇺 today to visit our very own Mrs. Erika and Mrs. Lo. They saw some pictures from the last time Mrs. Erika visited and saw pictures of the beautiful buildings and bridges there. Mrs. Lo taught the children how to say “Szia”- “Hi” in Hungarian and happy birthday “boldog születésnapot”. They tried paprika and apricot jelly cookies. They learned a little bit about a Hungarian folktale, táltos paripa, a magical flying horse, which they got to make before they headed back to America!

Miss Stephanie visited each of our classrooms today! She brought song, dance, and some special stuffed friends to help show that families are all unique and different but that love connects each family in an extra special way. Miss Stephanie also brought pictures of her family, which was created through foster care and adoption.
