Statesville Christian School Statesville Christian School is an accredited, non-denominational K-12 school founded in 1994 in Statesville, NC.

At Statesville Christian, it is more than just having routine chapel, providing a safe environment, or even having Christian teachers. A Christian education means seeing all of life- truth, meaning, morality, art, academics, athletics, relationships, history, language, justice, ethics, culture, communication, creation, politics- as being subject to sovereignty of God and truth of His word. Such an

education requires “biblical integration” in academic instruction and transparency and honesty in the members of our educational community. Although we are far from being a perfect school community, we continue to seek and set high expectations together.

Congratulations to our SCS alumni on your college graduations!

🎓 McGuire Caudill earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science: Cybersecurity with a minor in Information Security from Liberty University. He will be working with the USAF's Cryptologic and Cyber Systems Division in San Antonio, Texas.

🎓 Lauren Murphy completed her Associates degree in Nursing from Mitchell Community College. She will be working in the Cardiac Residency program at Forsyth Medical Center as an RN while also pursuing her Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree.

🎓Ansleigh Mathis earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Apparel Design and Mechandising degree with a minor in Marketing from Appalachian State University in December. She plans to work in buying or merchandising for a large retailer or brand in the future.

🎓 Conner Hope earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration degree with a concentration in Marketing from Appalachian State University. He is currently working full-time for Yost Windows and Doors while interning part-time with Motorsport Management International.

🎓 Brittany Laws graduated from Appalachian State University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Health Sciences with a concentration in Healthcare Management. She is currently working full-time as a Radiologic Technologist for Atrium Health.

Congratulations to our SCS alumni who have recently graduated from college!

🎓 Keaton Cameli earned his Doctorate of Physical Therapy degree from Lincoln Memorial University. He is working as a physical therapist at Architech Sports and Physical Therapy and will be taking his boards in July!

🎓 Madelyn Holman earned her Juris Doctor from the University of Kentucky College of Law. She is preparing for the bar exam this summer and will start her new position in civil litigation in the fall.

🎓 Samantha Keever earned her Bachelors of Science in Nursing degree from High Point University. She will be working on the hematology and oncology floor at Atrium Health Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center.

🎓 Daniella Okyere-Boateng graduated with a Bachelors of Science degree in Information Science with a concentration in Health Informatics. She plans to take a gap year to study for the MCAT and gain clinical experience before applying to medical school.

🎓 Reagan Vaughn earned her Doctorate of Occupational Therapy degree from Wingate University. She has plans to specialize in burns and wound care.

Congratulations to Upper School Dean of Students Mr. Matt Youngblood on receiving the May Standout of the Month Award. Mr. Youngblood shares his love of US History with middle and high school students and stepped into the role of Dean of Students this past fall. He works hard to develop positive relationships with students and genuinely cares about each one. He also serves as a chaperone for the annual junior mission trip to Utah and is the varsity girls basketball coach. Thank you Mr Youngblood for all you do for the students and families at SCS.

Congratulations to SCS junior James Cuesta on earning his Eagle Scout Award, the highest rank in Scouts BSA. James earned the award alongside his sisters, the first set of triplets to earn the prestigious Eagle Scout award in North Carolina. James has been a member of the scouts since first grade.
