As we head into Labor Day weekend, we’re thankful for a little extra time to rest, recharge, and enjoy the people God has blessed us with. ❤️

Labor Day is also a wonderful reminder of the value of hard work, perseverance, service, and using the gifts God has given us well—qualities we hope to cultivate in our students every day.

To our Headwaters families: enjoy the long weekend! ☀️🇺🇸 Whether you're headed to the lake, firing up the grill, cheering on your favorite team, or simply enjoying a slower morning at home, we hope it's filled with plenty of fun.

🏫✨ INSIDE THE CLASSROOM: Learning Looks Different at Headwaters

At Headwaters Christian Academy, education is about so much more than memorizing facts, passing a test, or simply finding the “right” answer. We want our students to learn how to think, how to ask meaningful questions, and how to recognize truth.

Inside our classrooms, students are encouraged to:

📚 Engage with great books, ideas, and meaningful discussions
💭 Think critically, reason carefully, and ask why
🗣️ Learn to communicate and defend their ideas with confidence and respect
🔬 Explore concepts through hands-on learning and discovery
✝️ Examine every subject through the lens of Biblical truth
🤝 Learn alongside teachers who are invested in both their academic and spiritual growth

Through a classical Christian education, we aren't simply preparing students for the next test or grade level. We're helping form young men and women who can think deeply, communicate clearly, discern wisely, and stand firmly in what is true.

✝️ FAITH IN EVERY SUBJECT

At Headwaters Christian Academy, faith isn’t confined to chapel or Bible class—it is woven into every part of a student’s education.

📚 Literature
🔬 Science
➕ Math
🌎 History
🎨 Art

Why does that matter?

Because we believe education is about more than teaching students what to think—it’s about teaching them how to see the world through the lens of God’s truth.

When faith is integrated into every subject, students begin to recognize that God is not separate from academics. They see His order and design in mathematics, His creativity in art, His handiwork in science, His providence throughout history, and timeless provisions of truth, virtue, and human nature in great literature.

A Biblical worldview gives students a foundation for asking deeper questions: What is true? What is good? What is beautiful? And how should that truth shape the way I live?

At Headwaters, we aren’t simply preparing students to pass tests or earn diplomas. We are working to form young men and women who can think critically, discern truth, defend their faith, and carry a Biblical worldview with them into college, careers, families, churches, and communities.

Because faith shouldn’t be one subject among many. It should be the foundation through which every subject is understood.

🙌 CHAPEL DAY - One of our favorite days of the week!

Chapel provides students the opportunity to worship together, hear Biblical teaching, and strengthen their faith alongside their classmates. Psalm 34:3 says "Oh, magnify the Lord with me, And let us exalt His name together. Our Chapel time gives us the opportunity to do just that with the entire school in attendance.
