WOW GOD! DAY 1 OF RAINFOREST FALLS VBS! ๐ฆ๐ฟ
What an amazing first day of Rainforest Falls VBS! Our students jumped right into the adventure as they explored the beauty of God's creation, learned valuable lessons, and made new friendships.
This year, we decided to try something new by creating small mixed-age crews made up of younger children, teens, and adult crew leaders. From the very beginning, we let our teens know they were not simply helping with younger childrenโthey are future leaders.
What better place to learn leadership, responsibility, compassion, patience, and teamwork than in an environment where they can serve, encourage, and guide others? Throughout the evening, we watched our teens step up, assist younger crew members, lead by example, and grow in confidence.
Another benefit of our crew model is that students transition together from station to station throughout the evening. Crew Leaders and Assistant Crew Leaders move with their groups, helping students stay connected, engaged, and supported as they travel through each Rainforest Falls adventure. This creates a sense of belonging, encourages teamwork, and helps build relationships across different age groups.
We are especially grateful for the space God has provided through the Mary Jackson Community Development Center. Having room for students to safely move between stations, learn, worship, create, and play is truly a blessing. Praise God for a facility that allows our children, youth, volunteers, and leaders to grow together in faith and fellowship.
We're blessed to have a place where children and youth can learn, grow, serve, and discover the gifts God has placed within them. Watching them encourage one another reminds us that today's students are tomorrow's leaders.
๐ฟ Wow God! Thank You for our children, our teens, our volunteers, and the space You've provided for us to learn, lead, and grow together. ๐ฟ
