Today was the 73rd National Day of Prayer. A program was planned and held at the Bulloch County Courthouse. It was advertised in several ways. A minimum of 75 Pastors were invited, many with persoanl invitation. Our elected officials were invited. There was a poor turnout. There was less than 75 people in attendance. There was a total of 5 Pastors, including the Pastor that organized the event. There was ONE (our Sheriff Noel Brown) elected official and NONE of the candidates that are running in our upcoming election. Our current President is the first President not to write a Proclamation for the National Day of Prayer. I cannot help but be sadden. We live in a country so richly blessed. We have so many freedoms. Yet we fail to honor and serve the One who has so richly blessed us. Romans 1:28 is being fulfilled. God is not a good luck charm or wishing well. He is Our King! EVERY knee WILL bow and as we see this day drawing nearer, I will continue to pray that we humble ourselves, pray, and turn from our wicked ways.

And since they did not see fit to acknowledge God, or consider HIm worth knowing, God gave them over to a depraved mind, to do things which are improper and repulsive. Romans 1:28
