Coastal Plains FCA To see the world transformed by Jesus Christ through the influence of coaches and athletes. FCA is the largest Christian sports ministry in the world.

Since 1954, FCA has been challenging athletes and coaches at every level to use the powerful medium of athletes to impact the world for Jesus Christ. It provides a positive peer group as an alternative to the negative pressures so prevalent in today's climate. FCA is also a vehicle for teammates to influence others with the gospel of Jesus Christ and to offer a different lifestyle to the worldly ways often found in our campuses and in sports today.

📖Matthew 16:13-20

When Peter declared that Jesus was the Messiah, Jesus told him who he was. And told him that he is the rock. The one who God would build his church on.

Rather than asking “who am I” we should ask “who is God.”When we get sight of who God is, we know who we are in him!

FCA | WJMS Huddle
Today, Sam Lyons shared his story and reminded us of one of the most important truths we can ever hear:

529 students.
529 souls.
529 opportunities to make disciples.

Jesus loves you. He has a plan for you. And He has called you to make disciples.

Sam shared how God redirected his life—from pursuing mechanical engineering and Marine ROTC to answering God’s call into student ministry. His story is a powerful reminder that God can use every part of our story—even the difficult parts—to lead us exactly where He wants us.

His focus was Matthew 28:18–20—the Great Commission:

“All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Therefore go and make disciples of all nations…”

We often hear “all nations” and think we have to travel somewhere far away.

But what if your mission field is your classroom?

What if it’s the person sitting next to you?
The friend who doesn’t know Jesus?
The student who has never heard the Gospel explained?

You don’t have to wait until you’re older.
You don’t have to have everything figured out.
You don’t have to be perfect.

You just have to be available.

Jesus didn’t call us to defeat sin on our own. He came because we couldn’t. Through His death and resurrection, we have a Savior—and through the Holy Spirit, we have His presence with us.

So, William James… this is your mission.

🏫 529 students.
❤️ 529 souls.
✝️ One Gospel.
🔥 One mission: GO AND MAKE DISCIPLES.

God has placed people in your path for a reason.

You need Jesus. He loves you. And there is no limit to what God can do through a life that is fully available to Him.

On Tuesday, we hosted over 1️⃣5️⃣0️⃣ LOCAL Coaches and Athlete Leaders from around the Coastal Plains Area at LAUNCh 2026 to "Gather, Grow and Go" back to their teams and communities and be disciples making disciples! 💕
