Today, on Giving Tuesday, we pause to remember what Fairview really is:
not just acres of land… but a living history of Staten Island’s families, stories, and love.

Every path, every headstone, every quiet corner holds someone’s legacy.
And when you support Fairview, you help us preserve those legacies with dignity, beauty, and care.

🕊️ Your Giving Tuesday donation helps us:

❤️ Restore aging headstones

❤️ Maintain our historic grounds

❤️ Protect the resting places of veterans, parents, children, and generations before us

❤️ Continue sharing the stories that connect us as a community

Fairview has been a sacred place of remembrance for centuries.
Today, you have the chance to help us carry that stewardship into the future.

If Fairview holds part of your story—or someone you once loved—
we invite you to give in their honor.

💛 Give today. Give in remembrance. Give to preserve history.
Every dollar helps us care for the place where memories live.

🌧️✨ What a beautiful day — rain and all!

Over 60 guests joined us today for our first Historical Tour with Pat Salmon at Fairview Cemetery. Despite the drizzle, spirits were high, umbrellas were out, and history came alive among the winding paths of our beautiful grounds.

From heartfelt stories to hidden treasures of Staten Island’s past, today was a reminder that Fairview isn’t just a resting place — it’s a living story of our community’s heritage.

💚 A heartfelt thank-you to everyone who braved the weather, supported this event, and helped keep our mission alive. Your presence and enthusiasm made this day unforgettable.

🌿 Help us continue preserving the beauty and history of Fairview Cemetery.
Every donation supports restoration, maintenance, and programs that keep our stories alive for generations to come.

Today, we join in the beautiful tradition of Día de los Mu***os, a time to honor and remember those who came before us. While Fairview Cemetery may be a resting place, it’s also a place where stories, legacies, and cherished memories live on.

We invite you to celebrate the spirit of your loved ones who rest here by sharing their names, stories, or photos. Let’s fill this space with the love, laughter, and memories that keep their spirit alive.

What’s one memory of your loved one that always makes you smile? Share it with us, and let’s celebrate their life together!

Honoring the Life of Thomas "Tommy" Magliocca 💙🇺🇸

At Fairview Cemetery, we have the privilege of holding the legacies of remarkable individuals like Tommy Magliocca. A true Staten Island native, Tommy's life was filled with love, laughter, and selfless service to his country and community. He proudly wore many hats: a Vietnam veteran, a dedicated sanitation engineer for NYC, and even a Florida court deputy in his later years.

Tommy was the kind of person who made the world brighter just by being in it—a loving husband, grandfather, great-grandfather, and friend whose warmth and care touched everyone he met.

His journey, which began in Staten Island, took him to many places, but we’re proud that his final chapter brings him back home to rest with us at Fairview Cemetery. His spirit will forever be a part of our community, where we will honor him not just as a veteran, but as a person who left an indelible mark on everyone he met.
