The Sermon of John the Baptist

When the disciples of John the Baptist reported that Jesus was drawing a crowd to Himself, John preached a sermon about Jesus (John 3:27-36). The first point he made was that revelation knowledge comes only from God. ,"A man can receive nothing, except it be given him from heaven." (John 3:27). When asked what he thought about Jesus, Simon Peter answered, “Thou art the Christ, the Son of the living God. And Jesus answered and said unto him, Blessed art thou, Simon Barjona: for flesh and blood hath not revealed it unto thee, but my Father which is in heaven.” (Matthew 16:16-17).

There are eight other wonderful truths in John's Sermon. Study the passage. Take time today to hear what the Spirit is revealing to you.
