Ebenezer United Methodist Church - State Road, NC

Today was both sad and meaningful. I was blessed to spend my last Sunday with 2 amazing congregations, Ebenezer and Maple Springs. Both churches have changed and added to my life in numerous ways, and it has my privilege to serve them for nearly 4 years now. On Wednesday the 15th, I will be moving to Central UMC in Denton, NC, returning to the city where my first appointment was in 1997. My first Sunday will be next week.

While I am excited for the opportunity I have, I admit to sadness over leaving 2 congregations that have added immensely to mine and my family's lives. It has been an honor and privilege to become a part of these people's lives. I will be leaving people I truly love and this will not be easy, but I trust that God will be with us all, as He has been so far.

Good afternoon. As your pastor, I have been blessed to serve Ebenezer and Maple Springs for nearly 4 years. I am being asked by the United Methodist Church to go serve a full time church in Denton, NC. My last Sunday will be October 12. If an interim pastor is not found right away, the pulpit will be filled by Randy B or Ryan T until the replacement is chosen.

I cannot thank all of you enough, in the community and the churches. I have been so incredibly blessed, and I praise God for the opportunities you have given me as your pastor. Your love and support has been a blessing to both myself and our family and I will forever be in the debt of these congregations. While I know these changes will be difficult, it will be so for both of us and in all things, know that you have my love. May God go with you all and may we all continue to devote ourselves to the work God has set us to.

We will be taking up a special offering this Sunday for the catastrophic flooding in Texas. Please see designate on your check that it will be for UMCOR or for the Texas floods. It will be easiest if all checks are made out to the church like normal. Thank you.

Don't forget that our free women 's support group meets Wednesday evening, June 4th at 7:00 p.m. at Ebenezer United Methodist Church - State Road, NC . Our celebrate Recovery group, meets every Thursday at 7:00 p.m. at Maple Springs United Methodist Church-Ronda which is across the street from Peanuts Garden Center. For the Recovery group, be sure to pull around back. We meet downstairs in the fellowship hall

Our pancake breakfast fundraiser is May 3rd! A week away. If everyone can please remember to bring any tickets that you have sold the money on Sunday, or any supplies you may have for the pancake breakfast next week. Week. If you can please remember to bring those to church so that we know what we have and we know what we need to buy. Thank you so much everyone for your support!
