The temple is such a sacred place, and we are so blessed to have the Washington DC Temple open again to us as it was rededicated today. Such a privilege and honor for members of the Branch to be invited to attend this very special and sacred ceremony in-person. If you have any questions about the temple or about our church in general, we'd be happy to talk to you! Message us or our missionaries to learn more!

Message from one of our Elders!

"Hey Branch members, its good to be serving here! I'm Elder Lee and I hope I get to meet each one of you soon 😁

As many of you know, missionary work has moved into Facebook and it's been super productive and helpful. However, Facebook is beginning to block our messages and friend requests!

If all of you could please send me and the other missionaries a friend request, then send a message after, that would be absolutely perfect. That way, Facebook starts to loosen the blocks it has on our accounts.

Thank you so much for assisting us in this great work "by small and simple things", you're all wonderful!

The other missionaries are Conner Brown, Kira Prince, and Aria Gunn"

It seems that a few of you who have so graciously liked this page may have received a message from us. It may have said something about letting us know if we can help you. As the admin for this page, I wanted to let you all know that this message was NOT sent by me intentionally. It does not appear like we were hacked. I was doing work on the page, and may have inadvertently clicked something unintentionally.

We would love to help anyone who is in need, and relish the opportunity to serve as The Savior would. However, any message you may have received was not intended to insinuate that anyone specific needs the help. If you or anyone you know is in need of anything (physical, emotional, mental, spiritual, etc.), please feel free to reach out. We are here for all of our brothers and sisters day and night.

As members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints (commonly nicknamed- Mormons), we are often asked if we are Christians. It is without hesitation that we answer this question with, YES!! We love to discuss with people how all Christians worship the same Jesus Christ. We all just have different understandings of who He is and how we can best live His teachings. We love our brothers and sisters of all or no faiths! Message this page or talk with our missionaries to learn more!

The North America Northeast Area would like to invite the YSAs to strongly consider becoming FSY counselors this upcoming summer. Elder Randal K. Bennett (Area President) and President Ahmad S. Corbitt (First Counselor in the Young Men General Presidency) are also extending a special and specific invitation to our YSAs to sign up. It is sure to be a spiritually rewarding experience and it pays quite well.

Please see the attached videos from the brethren mentioned above and either comment or message our page for more information!

Please join us for a Christmas Caroling service project. We will be caroling and giving out cookies to a local non-profit organization. Meet at the Branch building at 3:30 PM on Friday, Dec 10th. Non-profits do a lot of good in the local community and do not get the recognition they deserve. If you have some spare time, please join us in this opportunity to spread our thanks and love for them!

Today, we have the opportunity to express our interest as we vote. We have been counseled, however that voting is not the only way to stay active in our society. We have the ability and obligation to consecrate our time to our community, whether it be local or otherwise. We are blessed to have this choice and promise land and give thanks in every way we can- through voting, community service, etc. We have been promised that as we remain faithful, Heavenly Father will bless this land for us and our prosperity.

"Give power to that which you fear and it will show itself to you." -Qui Gon Jinn

Even in Star Wars can we learn a valuable lesson! Whatever we fear the most, whatever insecurities we have, if we give those things power in our lives, they will control show themselves to us and control us. It is through our active faith in our Father in Heaven that we may use the power we have inside us to control and mitigate those fears and insecurities. They don't always go away, but they can be minimized as our power is greater than theirs!
