Your guilt is taken away. That's it. 🙏

God does the removing. God does the cleansing. God provides the atonement.

Isaiah is often called "the fifth gospel" because it points so clearly to Jesus. Throughout this prophetic book, we encounter increasing hints that someone is coming who will deal with humanity's sin once and for all.

The coal from the altar → points us to the cross The sacrifice → points us toward Christ
The cleansing → points us toward forgiveness purchased through His blood

This is the heart of the gospel message. You don't have to clean yourself up—God does the cleansing.

The ending of Job whispers what the ending of the entire Bible shouts: what was lost will be restored. What was broken will be healed. What is painful will be redeemed. What is dead actually lives again.

Job's story points us to the ultimate restoration God promises His people. All the suffering, all the loss, all the pain you've endured—that's just the preview. There's a whole story coming where every sad thing comes untrue.

"After this, Job lived 140 years; he saw his children and their children to the fourth generation." - Job 42:16

Faith isn't pretending everything is fine—it's bringing your struggle directly to God and refusing to let go.

Job didn't lose God in his suffering; he found Him there. Whatever you're walking through today, don't let go. Keep showing up. Keep seeking. Your wrestling with God isn't a sign of weak faith—it's where faith deepens.

Have you ever felt like you're in the middle of a story you didn't write—and you can't see how it ends?

This weekend we talked about the universal human experience of suffering and the question we all ask: "Will things ever get better?"

J.R.R. Tolkien captured this longing beautifully in The Return of the King when Sam asks: "Is everything sad going to come untrue?"

That question resonates because we all carry losses, disappointments, and broken dreams. We wonder if restoration is even possible.

The story of Job (yes, the guy who lost everything) reminds us that suffering can actually deepen us rather than destroy us—when we keep looking up, stay humble, and don't let go.

Job said: "My ears had heard of you, but now my eyes have seen you." (Job 42:5)

Sometimes the gift in our hardest seasons isn't answers—it's encountering something (or Someone) greater than our pain.

This past Sunday was a special celebration at State College Alliance Church. Our $6 million building expansion project is complete and fully paid off!

But as we gathered to give thanks, we were reminded of an important truth: this moment is a threshold, not a finish line.

Where did all of this come from? God.
Who made this possible? God.
Who does it really belong to? God.
Who do we live for? God.

We're not settling into what we've built. We're keeping our hearts oriented toward Him, available and ready for whatever He has next.

Every resource, every sacrifice, every yes along the way—it all came from His hand and belongs to Him.

Thank you to everyone who gave, prayed, and participated in this journey. Let's continue to trust God for what's ahead!

Every kingdom advance starts with a human YES. 🙌

It's all God—His initiative, His power, His glory. But He invites us to participate. Your willing "yes" to Jesus matters more than you know.

Life is built one "yes" at a time.

That small yes to help a neighbor. That costly yes to pursue a dream. That scary yes to step into the unknown.

Here's what we often miss: every yes prepares you for the next one.

Each time you say yes to something meaningful—even when it's uncomfortable, even when you can't see the outcome—you're building something inside yourself. Courage. Capacity. Confidence for what's ahead.

King David saw this pattern clearly: "Everything comes from you, and we have given you only what comes from your hand." (1 Chronicles 29:14) He understood that our small acts of faith and generosity aren't isolated moments—they're training ground for the bigger things to come.

Think about your own story:
• That first time you volunteered
• That moment you chose generosity over security
• That leap you took when logic said to play it safe

Didn't those yeses make the next ones a little easier? Didn't they change something in you?

The question isn't whether you're ready for the big adventure. The question is: will you say yes to what's in front of you today?

Because that yes—that one right there—is building faith for what's next.
