🥞 Pancake Supper Fundraiser 🥞

Join us on Wednesday, February 18 at 5PM in the CLC for a delicious evening of pancakes and fellowship!

All donations will support our youth as they prepare for their summer mission trip. Come hungry, bring a friend, and help us send our students out to serve with love and purpose.

Following supper, we invite you to stay for our Ash Wednesday service at 6PM as we begin the season of Lent together.

We can’t wait to see you there! 💛

Day ten is receiving. The last couple of days have been about giving and selflessness, so why should we talk about receiving? Well, giving takes two parties! One who gives AND one who receives. I don't know about you, but receiving can feel kind of awkward for me. However, the other person, the giver, feels great joy at getting to give to someone else! Lord, help us to receive gracefully! How much more does God feel, I wonder?

Day nine, our focus is generosity. God has been generous in all he has given us: brains to think, hearts to love all of creation. Because of that generosity, a personal goal of mine for 2026 is to grow in my own.

On this eighth day of Christmas, our focus is on selflessness. In this new year, let's strive not for ourselves only, but for all. This fall, with our youth, we did a brief study on the Ten Commandments, which we discovered can be broken down into two like what Jesus describes in Matthew 22: Love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your might. And love your neighbor as yourself. In the same way we take care of ourselves, we also should take care of each other, looking for each others' best interests.

On this seventh day of Christmas, let's celebrate God's salvation. This, to me, walks hand in hand with God's grace. Salvation is a gift given freely, not because of anything we've done but because of God's goodness. God has saved us from certain destruction and given us new life. Lord, thank you for your salvation!

Today is the sixth day of Christmas. On this day, let's celebrate God's light. One of my favorite series of verses comes from John 1, which is depicted here. The word is light and life, and darkness and death cannot over come him.

On this fifth day of Christmas, let's remember God's grace. God's grace is a gift, given to all of us freely. But what is grace? This was surprisingly hard for me to define. The best I can come up with is that it is God giving freely to all, even when we don't deserve it. God loves us so much and desires relationship with us and doesn't leave us where we are.

May we always remember God's grace.

On this fourth day of Christmas, let's celebrate the hope that we have. Hope, I've learned, doesn't just mean wishing for things to be good. It's knowing that because of promises kept in the past, they'll be kept in the future. It's the promise of knowing that something will grow when you plant it. It is knowing that what God says will come to pass, even when we can't see it.

Lord, help us to remember your promises and keep hope!

For day three, let's remember God's peace. Over this last year since I did these posts last year, I've learned that peace doesn't just mean being free from worry and anxiety. It also means working together with our neighbors for our common good. Lord, let it be so! May we always strive for peace!

On this second day of Christmas, let's remember the joy we celebrated during Advent and carry that with us through the new year. Lord, help us to always find joy in you!
