I can safely say that having the flu on Christmas Eve is a real bummer!

This coming Sunday, the 3d of December is the first Sunday in Advent and the beginning of a new liturgical year. For the remainder of the calendar year, the St Luke Sunday service will be at 2 PM. Beginning on the 7th of January St Luke will meet at 10:30 on Sunday morning.

St Saint Luke Lutheran Church in Starkville and Our Savior Lutheran Church in Columbus are in the process of formalizing the dual parish arrangement that has been in place for the last several years. An essential part of such arrangements is service times for each congregation. In our efforts to work together, the two congregations have decided to alternate service time annually. This means St Luke currently gathers for worship on Sunday afternoon at 2PM, and Our Savior at 10AM. In January we will switch and St Luke will gather in the morning and Our Savior will rather in the Afternoon.
