Celebrating “Moving on up” kids moving up to new classes. We had a meal made by the ladies of the church, games, Jessie Owen did an illustration on growth in the Lord by having wisdom, love, and strength from the Lord. Bible classes began at 7 pm . Come grow with us at FFWB church “Kingdom Seekers” youth group!

From Sis Sandy …

First Free Will Baptist of Star City hosted the Saline District Association Women’s Ministry today. The theme was “Bless your Socks off” - the power of encouraging words. Everyone dressed in 1950s attire and wore their favorite pair of crazy socks. The ladies enjoyed a time of music, skits, and fun time. The special speaker was Marissa Allen from North Little Rock FWB. She inspired us with her devotion about encouraging words and sang a beautiful song. The Family Life Center was decorated like a “Sock hop diner” with burger, sandwiches and chips and banana splits for dessert. Today the ladies brought packages of socks for operation Christmas child and collected $863 for the Lend a Hand Food Pantry of Lincoln County. These ladies are awesome and we are so blessed to have them in our womens ministry! They truly “bless your socks off” with their love for the Lord!! Door prizes were given and each lady received a “happy gift” of a polka dot change purse and lots of purse goodies! Thank you to all who attended!

A note from Sis Sandy…

“Who Let the Dogs Out” first day of school youth Wednesday was so much fun as everybody was dressed in their bulldog colors! What a great bunch of kids in this photo and we love them and are so proud of them at FFWB Church! We enjoyed a great spaghetti meal prepared by the ladies of the church and for a treat …homemade milkshakes!! The kids had a time of play and we had Bible study for all ages beginning at 7 pm! We invited all youth to come join us each Wednesday at 6 pm!!

A note from Sis Sandy…

The Kingdom Seekers youth group enjoyed “Back to School Bowling” today in Monticello with fun and games in arcade and a special treat afterwards at Dairy Queen. They enjoyed hamburgers, chicken, and lots of ice cream! A great way to start the new school year! Bless the Backpacks will be tomorrow night at 6 pm. Bring your backpack so we can pray over them during service for all students and for our teachers and faculty! We will be talking all the kids to Simple Simon’s Pizza afterwards! We love our kids and are so proud of them at FFWB church!!

A not from Sis Sandy…

Friday night at First Free Will Baptist Church we had “Youth Summer Movie Night” 6-8:30 pm. Kids came in their pjs and brought their sleeping bags and pillows. As they entered the family life center it was set up just like the movies with a ticket purchase counter and a concession stand. Huge movie projection ! They enjoyed popcorn, nachos and movie candy throughout the night. Each child’s name was placed in drawing at the end and prizes were awarded! It was a fun night with the kids!!

A note from Sis Sandy…
Wonderful services all day yesterday! Great message in the morning and Sunday evening all the men sang and then all the ladies sang with a great service of just sharing how good God is to all of us at FFWBC Star City. Following we had ice cream social plus lots of more goodies in honor of Bro Tim’s birthday! If you don’t have a church family, we are waiting on you to join with us in giving our all to the Lord at FFWBC Star City!! See you Sunday at 9:45 am!!

We are SO incredibly proud of Remi! What a way to represent our church and the Saline Association! And her incredible art talent just keeps getting better! We love you Remi and pray you continue to work for the Lord! Prayers for safe travels home!

Wow! Art was amazing! Remi had some good competition this year! We are so proud of her on everything. So proud she continues to try new categories each year. We are so thankful for everyone who continues to support her! We are blessed and we owe it all to God. God be the glory!

We are so proud of Remi Owen and her family Adam, Jessie, and Raylan! They are at the National Association of Free Will Baptist And Vertical Three Youth conference in Columbus Ohio. Awards will be announced Wednesday Evening. Remi is already a winner for us at FFWBC Star City. Pray for their safe travel and good time learning about Jesus. Saturday they participated in helping a local church with sound proofing. They are teaching the kids the love of serving and being “little missionaries” to others!
