The Heavy Equipment Club at Central Lakes College is a student-led organization committed to service, leadership, and career development in the heavy equipment field. Since the 1960s, these dedicated students have gone beyond the classroom to serve the Staples community with hands-on projects that make a lasting impact. From building the Staples Airport and Community Center to shaping walking paths and public recreation areas, their work speaks louder than words. Driven by a passion for giving back, the club exemplifies selfless service—putting community needs above their own while gaining invaluable experience for their futures in the industry.
