5th Sunday Worship & Workshop! Followed by a Spokane Fire Relief Pie Walk Fundraiser!

8/30, 10am, 5th Sunday Worship & Workshop!
Please Join us this Sunday, 8/30, at 10am for a Special All Church discussion planned for our 5th Sunday service. We will review the highlights from our previous 5th Sunday service in May and continue that discussion with a focus on the financial health of our church and long-range financial planning. The Church Council is looking forward to the opportunity for everyone to share ideas.

8/30, 11am, Spokane Fire Relief Pie Walk Fundraiser!
Join us at Coffee Hour to raise funds for all who have been affected by the Spokane fires. We'll have a pie walk to win pies at $3 per round. There will also be pies to be auctioned and pie slices for purchase. Donations are encouraged. Bring cash or check. A QR code will be available for payment via credit card or phones. If you write a check, please make the check out to Stanwood UMC and note the number of which fund you would like it to go to in the memo line. We will mail the funds to the District Office. Two funds are already set up in the PNW United Methodist Church Conference. Pacific Northwest Conference Disaster Fund (Advance #352) and the UMCOR Disaster Relief Fund UMCOR Advance #901670.

Dear Church Family,
I hope you are having a blessed week.
I would like to warmly invite you to join us for worship this Sunday. We will gather as a church family to pray, worship, share in fellowship, and listen together for what God may be saying to us through Genesis 45:1–15, the beautiful story of Joseph and his brothers.
Our message will be “Healing.” We will reflect on how God can bring healing, reconciliation, and new possibilities for life even from the wounded places of our stories.
Come as you are, and feel free to invite a friend, neighbor, or family member to worship with us.

Dear Church Family,

Grace and peace to you!

I hope you are having a blessed week.

This Sunday, I invite you to join us for worship as we reflect on Matthew 14:22–33, the story of Jesus walking on the water and calling Peter to step out of the boat.

Life often brings storms, uncertainty, and moments when fear threatens to overwhelm us. Yet in the midst of the wind and the waves, Jesus continues to speak the same simple invitation: "Come."

Together, we will explore what it means to trust Christ, to keep our eyes on him, and to discover that his hand reaches us.

Whether you have been attending for years or have not been with us for a while, know that you are always welcome. We would be honored to worship with you.
