Stanton First Church of God After the meeting on August 19th, 1972, they contacted Jerry Owens from Wi******er to help get the Church started. Building on Bright Street.

Our History: Stanton First Church of God was established in 1972 when a group of people from Powell County met at the Camargo First Church of God with the RHE Board Members from Anderson, Indiana. The first services were held in the Big Oaks Building on College Avenue across from the drive-in theatre. After a short time the Church moved to the D.A.V. They remained there until moving in the present location on East College Street. The dedication service was held on November 5th, 1972.
