Established in 1971, we are noted for Excellence in Education in the Stanhope area. Working in partnership with the home, our school nurtures the child's Christian faith in an atmosphere of caring love and concern. Our Savior Nursery School endeavors to maintain the highest standards of early Childhood Education. Our teachers have degrees in Early Childhood Education. They have been trained for 30

-hours, and are recognized by the State of NJ as a center who Strengthens Families through Early Care and Education. We endeavor to maintain the highest standard of early Childhood Education. Our Program-Trained teachers guide the children in activities that aid and enrich their physical, mental, social, emotional and spiritual growth. Our Savior Nursery School admits students of any race, color, nationality, or ethnic origin.

We had a busy first day in the The ABC’s of Art class! We started off at the table, getting our fine motor muscles warmed up with a little scissor practice, then we had to clean up a mess somebody (Mrs. VanDyke!) made! There were so many pom-poms to put away! The children did a great job sorting them by color, using their finger/hand muscles to put them into small jars, and then putting them back into the big bucket! (It took some work to loosen some of them from the jar because they were packed in so tightly!) After that we were ready for our first project which was coloring our art smocks with fabric markers and fabric paint. After that, playdoh and vertical coloring were the activities of their choosing, before we dove into our “2 day project”…

Today we painted our pots, and Wednesday we will REALLY be working our fine motor muscles by beading leather strings, and putting our project together!

(Whew! What a fast, fun hour that was!)
