Very Special Bulletin !!!!! We are back. Like Noah coming out of the flood, the First Church of God at 410 Logan Ave. Stanford Ky. WILL have services this Sunday, July 12th. Sunday school starts at 10:00am Worship service at 10:45am. Wendsday evening at 6:00pm. Come you faithful come. If you have not been to church in awhile, join us in fellowship and feel the love of our Lord Jesus Christ.

NEVER QUIT!!!! Our beautiful church needs us all. In Matthew 28:20, For where two or more gathered in my name, there am I among them. The constant hard rains slows the cleansing and rebuild of the basement at the First Church of God. Pastor Pete was able to tear the carpet out and take down all the wet drywall, but there’s still a lot to be done. With the grace of God we will get the basement dry and safe so we can all gather together again in our beautiful church of worship. 🙏

Update on the flooding at the First Church of God on Logan St. Stanford. June 18 Stanford got a lot of rain in a very short time. On Sunday during church, a few noticed a slight mildew odor, but didn’t think much of it at the time. When we met for church, the following Wednesday, the odor of mildew was so strong we had to leave the church. That’s when we went down to the basement and realized it had been flooded while we were sitting there trying to clean up. It flooded again with the pouring down rain the one end to the other all our books, Christmas decorations, and lotta miscellaneous stuff were absolutely ruined. We took all the tables up and chairs and put them in the kitchen and bathrooms so we could take the rugs up and continue seeing what car damage we had just wanna keep everybody updated. What’s going on with all the flooding. He filed an insurance claim and were denied due to reasons it does not make sense, but we’ll get through it. We’ll get it cleaned up and start over again. God is so good even with the flooding. He could’ve been so much worse. Everything happens for a reason. We all stay positive because we know God‘s watching over us.

We are so sorry that all church services for the Stanford First Church of God will be canceled for Sunday June 28 due to flooding in the basement. All other services will be as scheduled from this Sunday forward. Continue to pray for each other as we always do and pray for our church. Have a blessed weekend

Stanford First Church of God, located on Logan Ave. would like to invite everyone to join us next Sunday, June 7 at 10:45 am. A very talented young lady, Julia Fuqua will be singing a few songs at our church service. Julia is the daughter of Shannon & Greg Fuqua and the granddaughter of Etta & Roger Meek. Part 6 of reflections in Barbara Jean Tillett’s life

Here we go folks, tomorrow is the Big Day. Stop by the Stanford First Church of God and wish Barbara Jean a Happy 90th birthday!!!!!! Not sure where to begin because Barbara Jean’s life is so amazing in so many ways. Let me share a few pictures of true love 💕 and a few tidbits of their life together. They shared everything with each other including both their families making for even more adventures. Being blessed with an extraordinary blended family is a blessing from God. Barbara Jean and Claudie never wasted a moment with God’s blessings. Claudie retired from the US Air Force as a lieutenant colonel with 28 years. He then went to work for a commercial Airlines and the adventures began. Claudie took Barbara Jean with him all over the world staying inseparable making friends everywhere they went. After Claudie stop flying commercial, he and Barbara Jean travelled all over selling knives at flea markets. Barbara Jean has an incredible amount of photo albums displaying 90 years of love and life. So take a moment to wish her an amazing birthday tomorrow and become some new memories for her to share later ❤️.
