Well folks it's been a while, but it's time to answer the call again. We're looking for socks, hoodie's, as well as sweatpants. Many of you remember When we took our ambulance out into the streets, as well as visiting encampment. Our ambulance is gone and yes we have not been out in the streets or encampments in a while. It just became too unsafe. But we have a connection that is doing some things and they need some help. So we are asking for folks to help us gather these items up, and bring them to the deeper well church, or get ahold of Pastor Mark.

Good morning. Well, wanted to give an update on what we are doing. Patrick has been making amazing gains into the homeless community he has met a women named Joyce who has been out on the streets since 2012. She remembered the Ambulance and Roger G. She is struggling through her own things but has been an amazing help locating and distributing the things we have been given. We have met an amazing amount of folks that are not addicted or rely on a substance to get by. They are very grateful for what we are giving. 90% are sleeping in doorways in Portland Maine. We have run into as well many that are drug dependent. We will never give money but will give snack food such as cracker's as well as granola bars. Joyce put together a list for us so that we may be able to help a lot more than we have been able to. The streets are so much different than they were 3 yrs ago, so this is interesting as we embark on this journey. Below is the list Joyce gave me
Hand and foot warmers
Sm hand sanitizers
wipes
socks ( warm and white) also diabetic socks
Fingernail clippers
Bandaids. ( we use these to make small first aid kits)
Antibacterial wipes for cuts.
Cheese and peanut butter crackers
soft granola bars
cases of waater
small disposible flashlights
sm packages of kleenex
Sm bottles of non alcoholic mouthwash.
Clean bread bags ( they wear them over the socks to keep the socks dry)
And of course hats, gloves, and mitten.
and rayon blankets and hoodies.

So many of you know we have not been doing heartbeat 1 for a couple of years now. As a matter of fact it was the year before covid struck. We have been keeping it very low key when we do give things out. And we were going through Amistad. Sometimes the Lord will pause things for a season, and then reignite them when the time is right. I am beginning to get the inkling that God is saying the time is right to ignite a different version of heartbeat 1. One of the problems we had when we were doing heartbeat 1 was the fact that we started with all new clothes, hats, mittens, and socks. All of a sudden it seemed that everybody wanted to give us their used dirty stained clothing. The people we service have value, and we don't feel we should give them clothing that we would not wear.. Yes they all struggle with something, but so doesn't every single person in the world today. And God still loves us. I will be posting a list of things that we would love to have donated.. We will begin to distribute them as soon as we receive all the articles we need it, but in a different way and manner. You will see the list in a few days, as I begin to research the things that I believe God is telling me to distribute to our brothers and sisters that live on the streets. Thanks everybody. Good afternoon folks on this sort of wintery Monday. Yes we are still handing out close, and yes still looking for donations. We are working with Amistad in Portland . We seem to feel that this is a fair way of getting close out to those that have a definitive need. We just got the Heart beat 1 up and running.. And that will soon be in the Standish area serving our community at different events this Winter Much thanks to those that have donated clothing . That clothing has gone to those that truly have a need.

Good evening folks. Heart beat 1 will not be going out tonight. We are just not a 100% ready, and I am not putting our people at risk because we're not a 100% ready. We will shoot again for 2 more weeks, as we seek more donations and a few more volunteers. Thank you guys for understanding

Good morning everybody I need to know who is coming out with us tonight. To Oxford street. I need to make sure we have enough people to cover the things that we need to do. When we have 12 to 13 people that is when we feel that we are the safest we can be, and we feel that that is when we can take care of situations the best with the folks on the street. So I'm me.
