Collins & Cox will be joined by our good friend and mega singer, David Hilen for a special gospel concert at Minorsville Christian Church... 4 miles north of Stamping Ground, KY on Highway 227. There will be a meal after the concert. Scott Collins and Ron will be doing some songs that they normally don't get to do so it will be a great time! Everything kicks off at 10:30am THIS SUNDAY, November 3. Sure hope to see you there!!!

Dear Friends of Minorsville Christian Church,

It is with deep regret that I have to announce that the "Eastbound" concert for this Sunday has been postponed. This was contingent on them coming into town tomorrow night to play at an outdoor concert in Nicholasville and then coming to Minorsville Sunday morning. However, due to the extreme heat, the promoter for the Nicholasville concert has postponed the event. This would make the fellows having to travel in from as far away as Hyden, KY and Hamilton, OH early Sunday morning just for the Minorsville concert which would be asking a lot. Since the Nicolasville concert is going to be rescheduled anyway... toward the end of summer... we'll stick with the original plan and have the guys in that following Sunday at Minorsville. In the meantime, we will still have our fellowship dinner tomorrow. Lord willing, I'll have a message based on the invitation hymn... "The Savior Is Waiting." We'll look forward to seeing everyone Sunday morning!!!

Hi Friends and Neighbors... Just a quick reminder that the annual Minorsville cemetery/memorial service will be this Sunday, June 4 at 2:00pm at the Minorsville Cemetery. (See the previous post.) Right now, it looks like the weather is going to be perfect! We'll have special music and my message is going to be entitled "How Beautiful Heaven Must Be." We'll look into the book of Revelation and see why Heaven must be beautiful! I do hope that you'll make plans to come. It will be an enjoyable time of fellowship, reminiscing, and inspiration. You can bring your yard chair or we'll have a chair for you. Invite a friend and bring them with you to the most beautiful spot in Minorsville! HOPE TO SEE YOU THERE!!!

Several years ago Minorsville hosted a dulcimer group that came to be called The Buffalo Springs Strings. Interest slowly waned and the group stopped meeting. We are wanting to know if there might be some interest in forming the group again. Meetings would be held at the church. It would be structured according to the interests and needs of the participants. We can have beginning instruction and group jams. It would not be limited to mountain dulcimer, other acoustical instruments would be welcome to join the jam. However, the instructional time would be for dulcimer only.
