Jesus says: No looking back. (Luke 9:62)
Today’s challenge: fast one thing, pray, give alms.

Dear Blessed,
I hope you and your loved ones are safe and well.
I’m writing to inform you of a sudden and accidental incident that occurred at our church during the snowstorm. The church experienced a furnace blowback (puffback), releasing soot throughout the building. As a result, the entire church has been affected. Soot contamination is present in the Sanctuary, Sunday School rooms, Fellowship Hall, Kitchen, hallways, and bathrooms. At this time, it appears that nearly every area and surface has been affected, and professional remediation is required to restore the building to a safe, usable condition.
We are still carefully investigating the full extent of the damage, including the condition of icons, vestments, liturgical items, books, and other church contents and sacred furnishings. Out of an abundance of caution for everyone’s health and safety, we will need to adjust our services while restoration and cleaning are underway.
We will share the service plan as soon as we confirm the safest arrangements.
Based on estimates, the cost to restore the church to its prior condition may reach $300,000. This includes specialized soot remediation, HVAC system cleaning, repairs, and the restoration or replacement of affected items and spaces essential to worship and ministry.
In this urgent moment, we are asking our congregation to prayerfully consider supporting the church through a Restoration Fund. Every donation, large or small, will directly help us recover and reopen fully.
