We had a wonderful time at the Saint Andrew's Potluck Picnic last Sunday, which we combined with our annual outreach project to collect new unworn, underwear for clients of local social service agencies. Many thanks to Rich Olson, Eric Murray, Michael Wellington, Marjorie Meehan, Francella Mangopaul, and Jim Christenson for organizing the event. And a special shout out to outreach chairperson Joyce Finch as well as Marjorie Meehan and Jackie Dixon for all their hard work on the undie undertaking! A collaborative effort in conjunction with several churches and groups, we thank our guests who generously supported the cause as well as our members who brought delicious food to grace the table. Once again, thanks to Chef Eric for his grillwork and DJ Mike Wellington for the music.

It is with great sadness that we learned that The Reverend Norman J. Catir, Jr. died recently at age 93. Fr. Catir was the sixth rector of Saint Andrew's, serving from 1964 until 1971. During his tenure, Fr. Catir oversaw the addition of the parish house in 1965. A fine priest, he is still remembered fondly by the parishioners in our congregation who knew him. We extend our heartfelt condolences to his widow, Zulette. Requiescat in pace, Fr. Catir.
