Monday Minute of Hope ❤️

Maybe today you’re headed somewhere exciting.

Or maybe you’re simply headed into a Monday you really don’t want to face.

Maybe the road ahead feels unfamiliar. Maybe you’re carrying something heavy. Maybe you’re wondering where God is in the middle of it all.

Here’s your Monday reminder:

You don’t have to go looking for Him. He’s already there.

We can worship beneath soaring cathedral ceilings, inside a tiny centuries-old church, or in the familiar pew that feels like home—and discover the same faithful God waiting for us.

Because His presence isn’t tied to a building, a place, or a circumstance.

You are never traveling toward God or away from God.
You are traveling with God.

So wherever this Monday takes you—across the world, across town, into a doctor’s office, a difficult conversation, a quiet house, a busy workplace, or simply through an ordinary day—you do not go there alone.

He is already there.
And He is going with you. ❤️

“Where can I go from your Spirit? Where can I flee from your presence?” — Psalm 139:7

🎄 Merry Christmas from the Stallings Chancel Choir! 🎄

Yes, we know it’s September. We promise this is intentional. 😂

Since 2010, we’ve had a little tradition around here: we kick off our fall choir season with a Christmas party. Scott hands out the new Christmas cantata, we bring out the ham and turkey, everybody shows up with their favorite holiday side or dessert, and the $10 White Elephant gifts hit the table.

And can we just say—Christmas food tastes AMAZING when nobody has eaten it for nine months. 😂

Years ago we figured out that by the time December rolls around, everybody is busy, everybody is stuffed with holiday goodies, and everybody is tired. So why wait?

Tonight we ate too much, laughed a lot, exchanged some highly questionable gifts 😂, and opened the music we’ll spend the next few months preparing.

And that’s the part we really love.

Because while tonight was full of food, friendship and fun, the music we begin learning now will eventually lead us right back to the heart of Christmas—the story of a Savior who came for us. ❤️

So if you asked one of us what we were doing this weekend and we casually answered, “Going to a Christmas party”…

Yep. We saw your face.

And yep. That’s half the fun. 😂🎄🎶

A little peek behind the scenes…
Those stacks of music may look a little chaotic, but every page is being prepared with care. Every rehearsal is an offering before it’s ever a performance.
And those bells in their case? They’re simply waiting for their turn to sing again.
We can’t wait to share their joyful sound with you this fall. 🔔

…..Our church family story isn’t written only in the historical record, or deeds recorded or even within the sanctuary walls.

It’s written here, too.

In a simple garden.

One brick at a time.

Some bricks celebrate a life well lived.
Some remember someone dearly missed.
Some honor a family.
Some simply give thanks to God.
Some even make us smile… “Happy Birthday Jesus.”

Together they remind us that faith isn’t just something we believe. It’s something we leave behind for those who come after us.

If you find yourself on our campus, take a few quiet minutes to walk through the Prayer Garden.

Read a few names.
Whisper a prayer.
Remember someone you love.

We think you’ll leave encouraged. ❤️

Some thresholds change us. ❤️

We come through these doors carrying whatever the week has given us.

And when we leave, our prayer is that we carry something different with us—
a little more hope, a little more grace, and a whole lot more Jesus.

What happens inside these doors was never meant to stay inside them. ✨
