Fellowship of Praise - Stafford, TX

Fellowship of Praise - Stafford, TX A spirit-filled body of believers whose desire is to lift up Jesus Christ as we worship him in spirit and in truth. Sunday Worship: 10:30
Wednesday: 7:00

We are a full gospel congregation who seek to maintain balance in all aspects of ministry. Our services are a unique combination of the classical and contemporary, providing a atmosphere of worship that bridges the generational gap. We believe that the manifestations of the spirit, as seen in 1st Corinthians 12, are as important today as they were in the New Testament Church. The size of our congr

egation allows for personal ministry and prayer from the Pastor. If you visit our church, you can expect a sincere time of praise and worship, followed by balanced biblical ministry. Pastor Kent provides thoughtful and relevant sermons that challenge our members to think and explore God's word for themselves. We would love to see you next Sunday or Wednesday!

Let not your heart be troubled: ye believe in God, believe also in me…
I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.

But he giveth more grace. Wherefore he saith, God resisteth the proud, but giveth grace unto the humble.
Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.
Draw nigh to God, and he will draw nigh to you. Cleanse your hands, ye sinners; and purify your hearts, ye double minded.
Be afflicted, and mourn, and weep: let your laughter be turned to mourning, and your joy to heaviness.
Humble yourselves in the sight of the Lord, and he shall lift you up.
James 4:6-10

Linda and I were so honored last Saturday night by our church family. It was so good to see friends from years ago as well as those from Fellowship of Praise that we worship together with every week. We deeply appreciate Lisa Pruett for organizing things and working so hard along with the board and others to make this happen. Thanks to Herschel Rosser for his kind words and Myron Bloomer for so ably emceeing the evening. Both of you, along with Lucy and Linda, have blessed our lives for years. Marty Gabler who opened in prayer and Don Wiehe who ended the evening in prayer are also treasured friends and colleagues. The whole evening was a humbling experience for us and we thank all of you who took time out of your schedules to be there. For all those of our family, siblings, cousins, aunt, nieces, nephews, all of you are dear to us. Our three children, Sarah, Rachel and Andrew have always been here with us and have participated in the church in every way they could. You three and your beautiful families give us much joy. I thank Linda for always standing with me. We have been a team since the beginning and I love her. Out of our 47 years of
marriage, we have spent 27 of them in this church with you. We wouldn’t want to be anywhere else. All of you have become family to us and we are honored to serve together in the Kingdom with you. We love you!
This scripture has been my guide and goal all of my years in ministry, “Be shepherds of God’s flock that is under your care, watching over them—not because you must, but because you are willing, as God wants you to be; not pursuing dishonest gain, but eager to serve; not lording it over those entrusted to you, but being examples to the flock.“
2 Peter 5:2, 3
I pray it be so for as long as I have strength and breath left to serve.

I cried unto the LORD with my voice; with my voice unto the LORD did I make my supplication.
I poured out my complaint before him; I shewed before him my trouble.
When my spirit was overwhelmed within me, then thou knewest my path. In the way wherein I walked have they privily laid a snare for me.
I looked on my right hand, and beheld, but there was no man that would know me: refuge failed me; no man cared for my soul.
I cried unto thee, O LORD: I said, Thou art my refuge and my portion in the land of the living.
Attend unto my cry; for I am brought very low: deliver me from my persecutors; for they are stronger than I.
Bring my soul out of prison, that I may praise thy name: the righteous shall compass me about; for thou shalt deal bountifully with me.

Then they cried unto the LORD in their trouble, and he saved them out of their distresses.
He brought them out of darkness and the shadow of death, and brake their bands in sunder.
Oh that men would praise the LORD for his goodness, and for his wonderful works to the children of men!
For he hath broken the gates of brass, and cut the bars of iron in sunder.

Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus:
Who, being in the form of God, thought it not robbery to be equal with God:
But made himself of no reputation, and took upon him the form of a servant, and was made in the likeness of men:
