MOPS stands for " mothers of preschoolers" - but don't let that confuse you. MOPS is about meeting the needs of every mom from the conception of their firstborn through the completion of kindergarten for their youngest child. MOMSnext is for those whose youngest is school aged. No matter where you're from, whether you work or stay at home, whether you're a teen mom, adoptive mom, mother of multip
les, mother of a special needs child, single, or married...MOPS is for you! Being moms is what brings us together and allows us to build a community. The early years of being a mom are just as foundational to you as they are for your children. These years are filled with unique needs that other moms instinctively understand. MOPS is a place where moms can come to be encouraged and supported by other moms who are in the very same season of life...and best of all, to make some great friends! You do not have to be a "church-goer" or belong to a specific denomination to join us. With North Stafford MOPS & Moms Next you can look forward to making new friends for you and your children at the regular member meetings as well as at our playdates and mom's night out (MNO) opportunities. During regular meetings, children 6 months and up enjoy playing with their friends, bible story time, craft time, and snack time while in age appropriate classrooms. All childcare workers are background checked. Snacks are offered with the children's ages and any possible allergies in mind. Moms enjoy hot coffee and breakfast, crafts, games, guest speakers, and time to sit and have the adult conversations we all crave. North Stafford MOPS is now meeting at Stafford County Christian Church located at 1813 Mountainview Rd Stafford, VA 22554. Meetings take place from 10am-12pm on the 2nd and 4th Thursdays of each month from September through May of each calendar year. We follow the Stafford County Public Schools calendar for holidays and weather related delays / cancellations. Registration for the 2023/2024 MOPS year will be opening soon.
