Hey Church Family and Friends,
Our theme for VBS this year is “Junk Yard Redemption”. Children will be learning how even though we live in a broken world, God has a plan to “fix” our broken world. Just like items in a junk yard can be restored to something new and even better than before, so can we.
For our mission this year, we will be supporting “Broken Souls Haven”. Jason Dunlow is the founder of this group. He will be speaking the first night at VBS about this mission. He says... "Broken Souls isn’t about pretending life is perfect. It’s about walking beside people in the middle of the mess and reminding them there is still hope." Once a month, they host events where people came come together for fellowship, free food, encouragement, prayer, and hope. No matter where someone comes from or what they are carrying, they are welcome and they matter. Broken Souls Haven’s saying is…”A meal for your body and a word for your soul”.
For VBS, we will be raising money to purchase Bibles that they can give out to people in our community who may not have one. Please consider giving to this worthy mission which ties in directly with our VBS theme for this year!

Hey Church Family,
We are finalizing our "VBS Volunteer List". We are still in need of a few volunteers in the areas listed below. If you are willing to volunteer the week of VBS, please let Tracey Hedrick know as soon as possible.

Crew Leaders - A Crew Leader is responsible for supervision of small groups and for helping to move children from station to station during our rotations.

Security/Crossing Guard - These people help children to cross the street safely during our rotations. They also move through out the building and around campus to make sure everyone and everything is safe.

We need 3 more Adult crew leaders for the K-5 Area.
We need 3 more Adult or Teen crew leaders for the Pre-school area.
We need a couple more men to help Kenny Dickerson with Security and Crossing Guard.

Hey Church Family!
We have the privilege of welcoming back Josh Bueno as our guest preacher at FCC this Sunday, May 31st, at 10:30 am. 

Josh served as the youth minister at FCC from 2018 to 2024 and currently serves as the discipleship minister at Towne South Church of Christ in Elizabeth City, NC. Please welcome him as he delivers the message this Sunday.

In addition, we will have our Graduation Sunday in recognition of our high school and college graduates, and our Youth Sunday in which members of our youth will be leading us in various aspects of our service, including our children’s’ Wednesday night Bible study leading the call to worship, our youth leading us in worship, and our young women’s Bible study delivering the special music.

This will be a great service filled with reunion and encouragement for our graduates as they enter the next stage of their life, so please make sure to attend!

We are in need of several snack items for VBS. We have a bulletin board set up at the 9th street entrance. If you are able to donate anything, please take a note card from the board. Once you purchase that item, you can leave it in the kitchen at church.
