There are times when serving the Lord can leave us tired, discouraged, and wondering if we can keep going. In 2 Corinthians 4, Paul reminds us that the strength to continue doesn't come from us, but from the God who called us.

We want to extend a heartfelt "thank you" to everyone at Southern Roost - Kingsland who helped provide breakfast for our VBS volunteers each morning. While many people saw the work accomplished, they may not have seen the behind-the-scenes servants who ensured our volunteers were cared for before the day even began.

Serving together is one of the many ways we see God at work through His people in our community. Thank you for helping us continue to minister and serve as we move forward together.

And whatsoever ye do, do it heartily, as to the Lord, and not unto men. — Colossians 3:23

Today, we pause to remember and honor those like 1SG Garza, SFC Sneed, and Sgt. Johnson who gave their lives for the freedoms we enjoy every day. Their sacrifice reminds us that liberty is never free, and their courage will never be forgotten.

As you gather with family and friends on this Memorial Day, I pray that you also take a moment to pause with gratitude, pray for the families of those who did not come home, and thank God for those who gave everything in service to our nation.

Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends. —John 15:13

We love seeing our youth out in the community. There were so many thankful people who loved the prayers offered by our young people.

Resurrection Sunday isn’t about sunrise services, breathtaking worship set lists, or eloquent speaking from the finest education.

It comes down to one question:

What will you do with the risen Savior?

You can ignore Him. You can try to explain Him away. Or you can surrender to Him as Lord.

But one thing you cannot do is avoid Him. You see, the tomb is still empty, Jesus is still the King, and one day every knee will bow.

So, the question still stands.
