“Now on the first day of the week, very early in the morning, they, and certain other women with them, came to the tomb bringing the spices which they had prepared. But they found the stone rolled away from the tomb. Then they went in and did not find the body of the Lord Jesus. And it happened, as they were greatly perplexed about this, that behold, two men stood by them in shining garments. Then, as they were afraid and bowed their faces to the earth, they said to them, “Why do you seek the living among the dead? He is not here, but is risen! Remember how He spoke to you when He was still in Galilee, saying, ‘The Son of Man must be delivered into the hands of sinful men, and be crucified, and the third day rise again.’ ””
‭‭Luke‬ ‭24:1-7‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

It went just as He promised. Jesus died and rose again. He conquered death, hell, and the grave for each one of us. He washed our sins white as snow. There is hope and a reason to rejoice and He is the same yesterday, today, and forever. To worship Him we live.

Happy Resurrection Sunday everyone!

Faith Over Fear | Day 8: Hebrews‬ ‭13:8‬

He who holds us in the palm of His hand is the same yesterday, today, & forever.
Most of our lives & routines look very different than we ever could have expected or planned for right now. We are faced daily with uncertainty about when/how normality will return. I cling to the promise that God is constant. There is a calm in the chaos that comes with knowing that though all of the ground around us is sinking sand, the Rock on which we stand won’t move. We may not understand or have all the answers, but He does. We don’t have to respond in fear/panic as world is. Why?...because of the One we’ve placed our trust is in. He is God, He is good, His plans for His people are good, & they will prevail. I’m fixing my eyes on Jesus & I hope you are too.

Faith Over Fear | Day 7: John 15:4

In this season, I’m reminded of the closeness we can have to the Father and how He continues to lead me in this time of uncertainty; though I have full faith that all shall pass and His glory will be widely displayed. I have to feed my soul with His confidence; with His peace. I need to set the soil so I can grow, even when the world is thrown into a dark season. No branch can bear fruit if it’s not fed. In the same manner we cannot expect the arrival of God’s goodness if we do not press in and seek His presence. I challenge all of us to take more than the “15 minute devotional a day” time and spend some recklessly abandoned moments with Abba (worship as a family, watch a sermon online, take communion together). I know it can be scary, but know and believe this true...He abides in those who abide in HIM. Jesus conquered death, disease, and sin itself. We have the freedom and foundation in a unshakable truth...HIS PROMISES! We are forever under the provision and protection of Almighty God! So let’s look forward to the battle ahead, because we’re not finished yet! We have mountains to climb and souls to lead into the arms of Christ! @ St. Louis, Missouri

Faith Over Fear | Day 6: Philippians 4:7 & John 14:27

I never fully understood what it meant to have peace that doesn’t make sense, until I was in a season where I physically and mentally felt overwhelmed. I remember, though, in the midst of my chaos, a steady, gentle presence constantly reminding me that I was good. I FELT like I was not okay, but I KNEW that no matter how I felt, that I truly was good, as God called me when He created me. And that’s the peace Jesus gives. It’s not peace that you can feel all the time; it’s the kind of peace that, when you are in the middle of CHAOS, is continuous, that’s unshaken, that’s always hidden deep in your heart in a safe place. It’s the peace that IS your safe place. The peace that calls you back to your Father and gives you confidence despite circumstances. Jesus, the Prince of Peace, is breathing and anointing peace over every single one of you in this very difficult time. Hang in there and remember that Jesus has you. ❤️

If peace is far from your heart, I encourage you to be still. When you take a breath and look back up to Jesus, I’m confident that you will discover that peace is deep inside of you. Jesus Himself is there comforting you, and nothing can separate you from Him.

Faith Over Fear: Day 5: Psalm 95:6-7

I think that in my walk, I fear the most when I forget that my life and my future were never in my control in the first place. I forget that it’s always been in God’s hands, and that when I chose to walk with Him, I told him that I would willingly stop fighting him and give Him my future. This verse (and chapter, read it!) reminds me that when I experience fear, I have two choices: one, to hold onto it, and try to handle it myself; or two, to worship, which reminds me to stop trying to take control, and find joy in The One was always in control anyway.

Faith Over Fear | Day 4: Isaiah 54:10

I think sometimes it’s easy to feel like the world is falling apart when things don’t go the way you thought. But whenever I read this verse in Isaiah I realize that yes, what’s happening is different & hard but I don’t have to pass through it without the love & peace of the Lord. I find comfort in knowing that HE knows. He promises us that. & whatever may come my way, I can stand firmly in the truth that the Lord has me in the palm of His hand.

Faith Over Fear | Day 3: Romans 8:18

What if revival comes through reconstruction?

We as believers consistently ask for revival, so what if this is what it takes?

Imagine jumping back into normal life. People will be grateful for the small things. Being able to work, hugging one another, going out with their friends, etc.

and above that, the effect on the church.

People truly worshipping / praying to God and coming to him because they had nothing else to lean on. This season of feeling blind, might help us see.

Faith over fear | Day 2: Romans 12:12

This is a time of uncertainty for everyone, but Christians are called to respond differently. Let’s rise up in joy and hope. Let’s have patience with one another. And most importantly, lets have our knees hit the floor in prayer! Many of us are blessed with the gift of more time now and so it’s time to really lean into calling upon the Lord for miracles. Pray for a cure, for the disappearance of the disease, for outcomes beyond our imagination. Remember that our God is capable of anything!

Faith Over Fear | Day 1:

Psalm 145:13-19

“This chapter in Psalms encourages me because it calls out to the character of God and is full His promises. That He is faithful and is kind, He provides for us and hears us, He satisfies and is near to us. Right now, things may look unsteady and make you feel uneasy, but I know that when I read this, I am reminded of the truth on which I stand.” -Madison @ St. Louis, Missouri

“and when He has given thanks, He broke it and said, “Take, eat; this is my body which is broken for you, do this in remembrance of me. In the same manner He also took the cup after supper, saying, “This cup is the (new) covenant in my blood, do this, as often as you drink it, in remembrance of me.” 1 Corinthians 11:23-25
