PLEASE READ 🚨🚨🚨🚨 Global Christian Relief
While so many of us have the freedom to open a Bible, go to church, and speak the name of Jesus publicly... many of our brothers and sisters around the world are risking their lives for doing those same things. In places like Nigeria, Christians are attacked, displaced from their homes, kidnapped, and even killed simply because they refuse to deny Christ. Entire families live in fear, churches are burned, and children grow up surrounded by violence…yet many still cling to Jesus with a faith stronger than most of us could imagine. Their courage is both heartbreaking and inspiring. They are not distant strangers... they are part of the same body of Christ. This is why organizations that help persecuted Christians matter so deeply. When we give, pray, and support them, we are stepping into the suffering with our own brothers and sisters. Jesus said in Matthew 25:40, "Whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for Me." Every meal provided, every safe place built, every Bible delivered, and every family protected becomes an act of love toward Christ Himself. The Church was never meant to ignore suffering believers - we are called to carry one another's burdens. And in a world full of darkness, supporting persecuted Christians is one of the clearest ways we can show the love of Jesus in action. Maybe God is nudging you right now. We spend so much on things we don't truly need. There are always moments when God will call us to give. Whatever you feel in your heart. And please, cheerful givers only ❤️

The cross looked like Satan’s greatest victory. Jesus was betrayed, beaten, mocked, nailed to wood, and publicly humiliated. To everyone watching, evil appeared to be winning. The religious leaders thought they had silenced Him. Rome thought they had executed another criminal. Demons likely celebrated, believing the Son of God had finally been destroyed. But what they didn’t understand was that the very act meant to destroy Christ became the instrument God used to destroy the power of sin, death, and Satan itself.

Scripture says in Colossians 2:14–15 that through the cross, Jesus “disarmed the powers and authorities” and “made a public spectacle of them, triumphing over them by the cross.” Think about how ironic that is. Evil lifted Jesus onto the cross thinking it had won the war, but the cross became the exact place where evil lost its authority. Satan inspired the betrayal, the hatred, and the crucifixion, yet every nail driven into Christ was unknowingly fulfilling God’s rescue plan from the beginning. What looked like defeat was actually the greatest victory in human history. The resurrection then proved that death itself had been conquered, because Jesus walked out of the grave holding the keys to life forever.

This image carries the weight of the Gospel in one picture. The cross is literally formed out of the sins of humanity…pride, lust, greed, hate, envy, hypocrisy, addiction, fear, selfishness, apathy, and countless others. The message is that Jesus was never guilty of any of these things, yet He willingly took the punishment for them upon Himself. That’s why 2 Corinthians 5:21 says, “God made Him who had no sin to be sin for us.” Jesus became the sacrifice for the very darkness that separates us from God. Every lie, every lustful thought, every selfish motive, every hidden sin…He carried it all to the cross. Not because He deserved it, but because we did.

What makes this even more powerful is realizing that the sins listed on that cross are not just “other people’s sins.” They are the same battles humanity still struggles with every single day. The anger we justify. The pride we protect. The greed we hide. The hypocrisy we excuse. Scripture says it was our sin that nailed Him there. Yet instead of rejecting us, Jesus stretched out His arms anyway. The cross was not God giving up on humanity…it was God making a way to save humanity. Jesus stepped into our punishment so we could step into His righteousness, forgiveness, freedom, and eternal life.

The image also reminds us that following Jesus is not just about admiring the cross…it’s about realizing what the cross cost. Sin is not small. It required the Son of God to suffer and die. But at the same time, grace is greater than our failures. The same cross that exposes the ugliness of sin also reveals the unimaginable love of Christ. He went up there so we would not have to carry the eternal weight of our sin alone. That’s why the Gospel is both convicting and beautiful at the same time.

A lot of people think they’ve gone “too far” for God… too much sin, too much hypocrisy, too many failures. But Scripture paints the opposite picture. Romans 5:20 says, “where sin increased, grace abounded all the more.” That doesn’t mean sin is good or harmless…it means God’s grace is greater than the worst thing we’ve done. The cross was never for perfect people. Jesus came specifically for sinners, the broken, the ashamed, and the lost. Peter denied Christ three times. Paul persecuted Christians. David committed adultery and murder. Yet God still redeemed them because His grace reaches deeper than our failure.

The second half…“you can’t even outrun it”. It reflects the truth that God relentlessly pursues people. Psalm 139 says there is nowhere we can flee from His presence. The story of the prodigal son shows a son running into sin while the father waits with open arms, ready to restore him the moment he turns back. God’s grace chases people even in rebellion, conviction, emptiness, and brokenness. But grace is not permission to stay in sin…it’s the power that pulls us out of it. Titus 2:11-12 says the grace of God teaches us to deny ungodliness and live righteously. Real grace doesn’t just forgive you; it transforms you.

Lust is rooted in self…it wants to take, consume, and satisfy desire in the moment. James 1:14-15 explains that desire, when it's dragged away and unchecked, gives birth to sin, and sin eventually leads to death. That's why the "distance" is so short-lust doesn't stay neutral. It escalates. What starts as attraction turns into objectification, then entitlement, and when that desire isn't fulfilled, it often flips into frustration, bitterness, or even hatred. You can see that pattern in
2 Samuel 13, where Amnon's lust for Tamar quickly turned into hatred after he got what he wanted” he hated her with very great hatred... greater than the love he had for her."
Biblical love, on the other hand, is completely different in nature. 1 Corinthians 13 shows that love is patient, kind, not self-seeking, and doesn't dishonor others. It gives instead of takes. Lust says, "What can I get from you?" Love says, "What can I give for you?" That's why true love can't come from lust, they're built on opposite foundations. One is fueled by the flesh (Galatians 5:16-17), the other is produced by the Spirit (Galatians 5:22-23). Real love reflects Christ, who didn't come to use people, but to lay His life down for them (John 15:13). So when something is driven by lust, it may feel intense, but it won't be pure, and it won't last.

Don’t fall for the false gospel that Paul warned about
