Happy Anniversary to the New Beginnings Help Desk! Begun 3
years ago, the Help Desk is staffed by 6 volunteers who take calls from social workers, caseworkers, new tenants as well as calls from our generous donors. Establishment of the Help Desk has greatly improved the efficiency of the first phase of our furniture ministry! So here’s “Kudos” & “Hats Off” to our good hearted call handlers who work faithfully behind the scenes week after week! Over the 3 years since the Help Desk inception, they’ve fielded an average of 1300+ calls per year for a total of 3,900+ calls (over 3 years), care-fully received with results that put smiles on a lot of faces.

LOOKING BACK......over the past year, remembering the many gifts we’ve been privileged to share: 99 homes furnished with love and made more comfortable with your donations of furniture; 197 smiling faces of new tenant families sharing prayers of thanks for your generosity and God’s amazing love! And so, we’re Looking Forward with anticipation to meeting and sharing with many more generous donors and wonderful tenants, wondering who they are and how God will bless each one and wondering too what changes and challenges are in store for us. We are Enjoying the Now, aware of the love and support of our church family and friends, humbled by the faith and gratitude of the new tenants we have been able to serve. May God continue to bless us all in another fabulous New Year!

New Beginnings would like to bring some Christmas joy to two of our New Beginnings families by providing gifts. Please select an ornament from the Giving Tree at church, purchase the item and return it wrapped with the ornament attached. We plan to deliver the gifts Friday, December 20th. Kindly return the gifts to the Giving Tree no later than Wednesday, December 18th. The New Beginnings team is grateful for your generosity and thoughtfulness.

The Martha & Mary team that helps New Beginnings have been working hard to put items together household items for the New Beginning families. They are running out of bath towels, twin blankets and saucepans.

If you can help with any of these items, please bring them to church on Sunday or on a Wednesday, any time from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.
