Several in our church ran the Hot Chocolate run for Make a Wish this morning. Thanks Gateway Baptist Church for making a hot breakfast for everyone. Church was awesome.

What do you think?

Trying to find the timing of the Herod the Great's Slaughter of the Innocents led me to actually try and place Christ in time and make this chart. Carrying many biblical references relative to Jewish and Roman history, it changed my mind on the age of Christ at his death from 33 to 36. It also gives an estimation of the timing that Christ was in Egypt, the possibility he was influenced under Philo while there, and his return to Jerusalem.

Great year-end review GBC. We bought two 2016 church vans, raised a thousand dollars for the Make-A-Wish Foundation, reached out into the community on the 4th of July, had a Gospel Treasure Hunt, gave over four thousand dollars to guest speakers, helped several struggling people, had nearly 20 church dinners, supported missionaries, raised $4,000 for Haiti, performed the Lord's Supper service every month, had several professions of Faith and baptisms, remodeled our church, purchased the property for our new church building, provided gifts for everyone at Christmas, and completed 21 courses in the Bible Institute, etc. In our publishing ministry, Gateway International Publishing, our materials reached out to pastors and ministers in 32 states and 11 foreign countries. My heart is heavy to think of all the suffering, hurt, hardships, and hurdles that each of you had to overcome to make 2017 a successful year. We finished strong and I am proud of you. We accomplished this without special offerings, begging and pleading, but in the Spirit of our Lord Jesus Christ. Let's love one another and work hard at keeping this Spirit as we look for bright things in 2018. Pastor Daniel McCrillis.

We had a great time at Gateway Baptist Church today! We had Bro. Eddie Paul Oats in as our guest speaker. Thanks to all who attended and participated.

Awesome Job Gateway Baptist Church. We raised over $1,000.00 for Make a Wish. Thanks to everyone that made this day possible. Lisa McCrillis for organizing and getting it all started, Steve May for cooking a hot breakfast at the church, D.J. Moentmann for filling in on the van route and song leading, Wanda for cleaning the church, grandma Laverne for watching the baby and getting to the house from Pacific at 6 A.M, and for all the runners who got up early, withstood the cold, and finished in time so we can have our 11 o' clock service. Great Day!
