We hope you will be here with us Sunday morning
at St. Paul United Church of Christ.
Today we hear stories of God's surprising call and extravagant grace.
God called Abram to leave behind the familiar
and trust an unknown future.
Jesus called Matthew from his tax booth
and welcomed those whom others rejected.
Through these stories we are reminded that God often meets us
in unexpected places
and invites us into a larger life of faith, compassion, and courage.
Whether you arrive today full of confidence or carrying questions, whether you feel close to God or are searching for hope,
know that you are welcome here.
Together, let us discover anew the God who calls us by name
and invites everyone to the table.

the day the Spirit moved like wind and fire,
filling ordinary people with courage, vision, and hope.
On this day, barriers were broken, many voices were honored,
and a new community was born.
Come, Holy Spirit.
Breathe through our worship, awaken our hearts,
and renew the church for the work of love and justice in the world.

We hope you will be here with us on Sunday morning, May 17th
at St. Paul United Church of Christ.
We will gather in the sacred “in-between” time of Eastertide:
between Christ’s ascension and the coming of the Spirit at Pentecost. Like the first disciples in Acts, we come with questions, hopes, uncertainties, and prayers.
In this community, there is room for wonder, waiting, and hope.
Come, let us worship the God who meets us in every season
and calls us forward together in faith.
