For 57 years, St. Michael’s has been a place where children have flourished under the care of dedicated staff who have seen their potential and honored their creativity. As our K-6 program closes at the end of May, we want to pause and honor the thousands of lives shaped by this school. As a living tribute to every student, teacher and family who has been a part of this story, we are planting a tree on the grounds of the Church of St. Michael & St. George.
We invite you—our alumni, former faculty, and past families—to help us nourish the roots of this memorial. We are collecting written reflections to be placed in a sealed box and buried beneath the roots of this tree. We want to fill the earth with the spirit of St. Michael’s: the lessons learned, the friendships made, and the ways this school helped you find your way in the world. Your words will become a permanent part of this sacred ground. Current students and families will have time to do this at the end of year party next week.
How to participate:
* Email us: Send your reflection (a sentence, a paragraph, or a letter) to [email protected] by Tuesday, May 19. We will print every submission to include in the box.
* Comment below: Leave your reflection or a favorite memory in the comments, and we will transcribe it to ensure it is included in the box.
St. Michael’s has always been defined by its people. Help us ensure that our collective story remains rooted here. Thank you!
