Awesome day of service at the NICA race yesterday at SIUE! Missouri Spoke members Matt Boll, Mark Hasler and Bob Polkinghorne gave out 400 sno cones (140lbs of ice!!!)

Excited to support youth cycling and share Jesus' love and the Gospel to racers, coaches and families.

Another great day of service. Missouri Spoke gave out 400 snocones (140 lbs of ice) and spread goodwill at the NICA race at SIUE (Edwardsville, IL). Thanks to Matt Boll, Mark Hasler and Bob Polkinghorne for serving!

ChristianCycling Missouri handed out 400 sno cones and went through 150 lbs of ice supporting NICA round 3 MTB race at Gan's Creek. Missouri's youth MTB league has over 700 racers from across the state. Your ChristianCycling dues help sponsor several racers, teams and coaches each year and make outreach events like this possible!

A huge thank you to our race promoter and Missouri Spoke member Brandon Amos for putting on another successful Rumble on Route 66 MTB race this past weekend. ChristianCycling Missouri has been co-promoting this with our friend Dan from Route 66 Bicycles in Rolla for over ten years. As part of the UFD East racing series, this race provides a venue for local and regional racers to experience the unique trail system at Forest City Trails in St. James, MO.

What is new is the amount of youth participation. Some are aware that NICA (National Interscholastic Cycling Association) has been steadily building membership and interest in youth cycling (ages 11-18). It provides a friendly, instructional outlet for competitive spirit and fair play.

Proceeds from our race benefit the local trail system and the newest youth team in the area (Ozarks Composite MTB).

Brandon, with the help of Ben Kletti, Jon Schmidt and local MTB parents put on an amazing event.

Youth cycling is working! Many of the high schoolers finished on the podium or won outright in the adult categories!

As Spoke Director - I wanted you to be aware that your membership matters! Your annual donations are part of what funds these outreach events. We'd love to have more of you participate in future outreach events. This fall, we'll be handing out sno-cones at a NICA race local to STL.

75 mile road ride this Saturday. Wheels down at 8am at the Schnucks in Columbia, IL. (See route below).
There will be a stop at a grocery store at the midway point to purchase fuel.
Weather is looking amazing.

Wow! What a day yesterday. New and old friends at our 2024 Missouri Spoke "Family Reunion"! Thanks for everyone who planned, attended and helped! The day started with coffee and bagels. Bill Menchak blessed us with an opening prayer before the road/gravel/MTB rides rolled out. Everyone gathered back around 11:30 for lunch, a short program and giveaways of a ton of cool ChristianCycling branded schwag. We got to recreate the spoke photo taken last in 2005 at the unity ride. What a great group of people!
