What are some of your memories of IHM?

As we begin a new school year, it is with a heavy heart that we accept the reality that Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Grade School will not be opening its doors this year. As our students go on to their new schools, we should not forget the legacy that IHM leaves behind. Our alumni have many treasured memories of their years here and have forged friendships that will last a lifetime. These are memories they will share with their children and grandchildren. Let us not be sad about the closing of our school, but rather let us celebrate the tradition it leaves behind. Our parish family will continue to thrive and the IHM grade school will continue to live on in the hearts and minds of its students and families.

May 23rd- Last day of school with 11:00 dismissal

Last Blast Luau- will be held May 31st. This is one last get together with the IHM school families. It will be in the Father Keaney Center after 4:30 Mass. We will have light snacks, a photo booth and music. I do need an RSVP. If you still want to attend, please let me know. Parents must attend with their children.

Last Day: May 23rd is our last day. We have a few things planned and would like families to participate with us. At 10:00, we will be making a circle around the school to give the school building one last hug from all of us. Next, we will have a final flag ceremony. Then we will come back inside so each person can get a balloon. We will parade up to the top lot to release blue and white balloons. The students are going to write a favorite memory from Immaculate Heart of Mary on one side and a hope or wish for the new school on the other. These will be attached to the balloons before our big send off. Our big finale is the Bubble Bus! We want to leave with happy memories and smiling faces.

We are looking for 4-5 volunteers to help with the Confirmation reception on Thursday evening. We will need help with keeping the refreshments stocked and cleaning up. If you can help please let me or Christy Anderson know. Thank you so much!
