Curious about discernment? Feeling a tug on your heart?

Join us for a morning of prayer, conversation, and community at Kenrick-Glennon Seminary.

These monthly meetings provide an entry-level opportunity for young men to begin asking questions about discernment and to meet others who are seeking the heart of Christ.

If you’re new to discernment but feel a tug on your heart, these meetings are for you.

Meetings are held monthly on Saturday mornings from 10:00 AM–12:30 PM at Kenrick-Glennon Seminary. Meet at the front doors. Lunch is included.

Each meeting includes discussion on an aspect of discernment, time for prayer, and lunch with the seminarians. Fr. Tony Ritter, a seminarian, and a guest priest speaker lead each meeting.

Come ask questions, pray, build community, and take the next step in discerning where God is calling you.

In honor of the Feast of St. Ignatius of Loyola, meet Fr. Murphy, SJ, who serves as the vocation director for men discerning a call to the Society of Jesus in St. Louis.

St. Ignatius gave the Church the Discernment of Spirits, teaching us to recognize the movements that draw us closer to Christ and those that pull us away. His wisdom reminds us that vocational discernment is not about fear or pressure, but about following the peace and freedom that come from the Holy Spirit.

Today, let us ask for the intercession of St. Ignatius for all those discerning their vocation, that they may have the grace to hear God’s voice and the courage to respond generously.

Meet the Vocation Director, Sr. M. Karolyn FSGM!

From her hometown in Rhode Island to serving right here in St. Louis, she is a self-proclaimed “human jukebox” with a song for every occasion.

As a Franciscan Sister of the Martyr St. George, Sr. M. Karolyn is part of a community dedicated to making God’s mercy visible to the world. Whether they are serving in healthcare, education, or wherever the Church has a need, the sisters are driven by a deep love for Christ and a desire to bring His mercy into the ordinary, daily moments of life.

✨Vocation Spotlight: Andrew Rain ✨

Just two years ago, Andrew Rain entered the Catholic Church through Baptism. Today, he is taking another courageous step of faith by entering seminary this fall.
Andrew was studying mathematics at Lindenwood University in St. Charles and had plans for the future, but the Lord gently redirected his heart toward something greater. Trusting in God’s call, he is leaving behind his own plans to discern a life of service as a diocesan priest.

Please join us in praying for Andrew as he begins this next chapter, and for all young men to have the courage to follow wherever Christ leads. “My plans are not your plans, nor are your ways my ways, says the Lord.” (Isaiah 55:8)

Last week, the Office of Vocations and the seminarians hosted the annual Kenrick-Glennon Days! Middle school and high school boys gathered for a week of prayer, fellowship, and fun while learning more about God’s call in their lives.

Please continue to pray for our young men, that they may be open and responsive to the voice of the Lord and courageously follow wherever He leads.

Sr. Mary Francis… Forever a Bride of Christ. 🤍

Today we celebrate a hidden daughter of the Archdiocese of St. Louis — a woman who has given her life completely to Christ and His Church.

A St. Louis native, Sr. Mary Francis was only 19 when she left the city she loved and stepped into the unknown, entering the Norbertine Bethlehem Priory of St. Joseph, a cloistered community in California.

Ten years ago, she first said “yes” to the Lord. After years of prayer, formation, sacrifice, and surrender, she has now said yes forever.

The cloistered life may be hidden from the world, but it is filled with profound love. Through prayer, silence, work, and community, Sr. Mary Francis will offer her life for the Church, for souls, and for all of us.

She was a parishioner of St. Joseph Parish in Josephville, studied at UMSL, and answered the Lord’s call with courage and trust. She is also the sister of Fr. Ritter, a priest of our Archdiocese — a beautiful witness of a family giving their lives to God in different ways.

Please join us in praying for Sr. Mary Francis as she begins her life as a forever spouse of Christ. May she remain faithful to the Bridegroom who called her. 🤍
