“It’s not even your church… IT’S GOD’S.” 🙌🏾

Real ministry isn’t about building our platform, protecting our name, or making sure “our church” gets the credit. It’s about serving together, loving people well, and advancing God’s Kingdom as ONE body.

At the recent Metro Quarterly, the Executive Committee officially announced the candidate they believe God is leading to serve as the next Executive Director of the St. Louis Metro Baptist Association: Michael T. Byrd Sr.!

Born and raised in St. Louis, Michael T. Byrd, Sr. has devoted his life to making Christ known in the St. Louis Metro area through ministry, leadership, and compassionate care for people.

With a deep passion for church planting, church replanting, care and serving communities often overlooked, Michael answered the call of God in planting Faith Community Bible Church in North St. Louis. What began as a vision fueled by faith officially launched on September 11, 2016, with a mission centered on making Christ known in the community by caring for the community.

Known for his shepherd’s heart and commitment to people, Michael believes ministry goes beyond the walls of the church and into the everyday lives of those in need of hope, healing, and restoration. Alongside him is his wife and greatest supporter, Traci, whose encouragement and partnership continue to strengthen him as he faithfully pursues the will of God. Together, they have been blessed with four children and 2 grand children who remain a treasured part of their legacy of faith, family, and service.

Great story about God’s activity and provision at one of our Metro Churches!

The Rockport Baptist Church was out of space. Easter Sunday, the pastor said they were packed in so tight he could hardly move. But God has answered prayers, and in February they sold their 1960s era facility and moved into a former Catholic Church building, May 17. Read the full story from The Path...

Exciting announcement about our Youth Camp June 8-12. We have secured Anthony Allen to be our Guest Speaker for the week:
Anthony Anthony Allen is a Christian hip-hop artist based in Atlanta, Georgia. He and his wife of five years, Morgan Allen, mentor college students in Atlanta while pursuing their passion for music.
Anthony discovered his gift for music in ninth grade, performing in a school talent show and receiving widespread recognition. After high school, a record deal fell through, and he realized that talent alone wasn’t enough—he needed something deeper. In one of the most desperate seasons of his life, Anthony gave his life to Jesus, and that encounter transformed his purpose.
Today, Anthony lives in his community, serving locally while traveling across the country to inspire students to chase after God and discover their own purpose. Through his music and ministry, Anthony aims to make a lasting, Christ-centered impact.
