On this International Picnic Day, we’ve been thinking about the parallels between picnics and vocations. What could they possibly have in common, you might ask? Quite a lot. Both involve preparation, nourishment, and community.

Think of a vocation like a picnic with God and others: you are invited to bring who you are, share what you have, receive nourishment, and experience the joy of togetherness. Like any picnic, no two vocations look the same. Each one is shaped by your unique gifts, talents, personality, and life experiences.

On our next installment of Echoes of a Yes, Sister Nylas Moser opens up about wanting to postpone her final vows after doubt began to surface. Yet, in that uncertainty, Mary gently reassured her of her calling. Through Sr. Nylas’s testimony, we are reminded not all vocational journeys unfold in a straight line. There are questions, struggles, and grace in between.

Echoes of a Yes is a short, poignant video series highlighting snippets of our sisters saying “yes” to religious life. In sharing these stories, we hope their yeses ripple outward and continue inspiring all who are discerning their own baptismal call.

This summer, excitement is building as the world turns its attention to international soccer. Cities are preparing, teams are training, and fans are making plans long before the first whistle blows. Many of us think we need to have everything figured out before we can respond to God's call. Yet athletes don't wait until game day to prepare. They train, practice, and trust the process long before they know the outcome

Today we celebrate the Solemnity of the Most Holy Body and Blood of Christ, also referred to as Corpus Christi. This feast focuses on the profession and adoration of Jesus Christ’s truly present body, blood, soul, and divinity in the Eucharist.

You might honor this sacred mystery by attending Mass, joining a Eucharistic procession, spending time in Adoration, listening to Eucharistic hymns, or meditating on Eucharistic Scripture. No matter how you choose to celebrate this feast, may you rest in Christ’s true presence and let Him draw you deeper into devotion to the Blessed Sacrament.

On June 2, the Adorers celebrated the sale of their Ruma buildings at Benedictine Living Community at the Shrine (BLCS) with former Ruma Center employees, current employees from the Regional Office and BLCS, and ASC Associates. Representatives from Books for All, the nonprofit who purchased the buildings, were also present to meet with those in attendance and honor the legacy of the Ruma Center.
