Sometimes we assume that when life gets hard or people don’t understand, we’ve missed God.

I know that feeling. Years ago God told me to leave my job – at the time I was married 15 years my oldest daughter was just 15 and my youngest 5. My then spouse, and some immediate family were my biggest opposition…so I questioned, I doubted, I wondered if I had heard God wrong.

Abraham’s story reminds me (and now I want to remind you) that obedience doesn’t always mean an easy road – it means trusting God, even when others don’t understand, even when the path is unclear, and even when the opposition comes from those closest to us.

Keep saying yes. Keep trusting. God sees, He provides, and His plan always prevails.

Today’s My Time With God episode was completely unscripted—no notes, no outline—just a heart overflowing with excitement about spending time with the King of the universe. ✨

I can’t put into words how much value there is in meeting with God daily… not out of routine, but out of relationship. These quiet moments with Him shape my day, strengthen my heart, and remind me who I belong to.

My prayer is that as you listen, you feel encouraged to carve out your own moments with God—because He truly meets us there.

In today’s episode of My Time With God, I was struck by something in the story of Ruth (Chapter 1) that I’d never noticed before. 🌿

There’s a moment of deep pain, loss, and grief—but as I reflected, I realized God had a plan even in the midst of that suffering. He allowed the loss to prepare the way for something greater, something that would bring about redemption and blessing.

In the video, I share how this passage reminded me that even when we face seasons of sorrow, God’s hand is at work, shaping the path ahead. 🙏
